I totally agree tho I would beg to differ on the Vincenzo commentary because I think the show is trying to tell you that he's also the main villain, they're all villains in this show and as a matter of fact, the only victims/good people here are Ok gyeong-Ja, Hong Yu-Chan and believe it or not, Jang Han Seo
The drama wasn't telling you that the Vincenzo squad were really the good guys, they were simply the lesser evil --- it was either wusang/Babel or the guemga-com-mafia
I liked the drama but to be honest they did waste a whole lot of potential, there were some really solid moments that made this whole thing bearable and the actors holding it up despite their shitty scripts otherwise I'd have given it a less than 5 rating, needless to say the X2 button was my companion throughout this drama.
I loved this drama but why did they commit absolute rubbish by killing off Han Seo?! the manner in which he died was simply stupid. It was as if their only reason was just to tear jerk the audience.
an intelligent consigliere went for the girl that was not exactly in imminent danger compared to the guy that was in the gun struggle, one that could've essentially saved all their arses?? Come on!!!!
The acting done by the actor Choi Min Soo for the character of king Sukjong was pretty darn incredible. I give…
I was gobsmacked, whenever I want to give the drama a rating less than 10 because of the story, I quickly swipe it to 10 ASAP because of our dear King Sukjong, he blasted that role to space with so much perfection, I was mesmerized.
I like watching dramas from same timeline to compare. So I am pondering whether to watch this or Haechi first.…
Don't contemplate watching Haechi, just watch it because it is soooooo so good! Haechi is a drama after my own heart. Jeong il Woo became a favorite after that
beautiful drama, it's had the right amount of everything. nothing is too much and if you want to have a good time, also be tickled, you definitely MUST watch this!
I agree with most of your points here but I don't know why as a non Korean I'm still bitter that he went on to abolish the monarchy on whim. the last two episodes where he's supposedly jobless (founding the miserable royal museum yen yen) was a painful watch. he literally just disposed of a well functioning job hub in the palace! and what?... we clap because the same thing they're doing outside the palace is is something they could've very much done inside by reforming court without completely destroying tradition

lol. I can't believe it, that is one of the best dramas in all of Korean drama history
