I got disappointed maybe because I went in expecting a romance like Red White and Royal blue.

There'll be a long redemption arc after Shulang discovered Fan Xiao's deception. After which Fan Xiao will undergo significant character development. Shulang forgives him at last and they ended up together.

I read the htl from chrysanthemum garden till ch 52 and since I couldn't wait any longer I read the mtl version the remaining chapters. Mtl is bad with wrong pronouns and unknown terms but it's understandable. If you have the patience to wait Htl is so much more fun to read and the translator is updating everyday too.

That arc was pretty long. I got heartburn too reading this novel😩 but I binged it in two days because I couldn't take the suffering for longer.
