Underestimated series

The series has some flaws - yes... But I liked it a lot, it was beautiful. The chemistry between the mainleads are full of tenderness and underlying love, despite the naggy Maze. I particularly liked the psychological aspect of the series. The scars behind their behavior, the insecurity that causes so much misunderstanding and jealousy. The actors did a very good job. Unfortunately the editing wasn't good, the story of the second couple was a bit out of place and there are some flaws in the arrangement and some plotholes. I rewatched it because the emotions and feelings are so good shown by the actors.

I'd like to share my opinion about the injury of Phab after the incident with Nueng. A lot of people mentioned it in the comment section and review. They complain why was it even shown when nothing happened with it. This is how I see it:
Phab didn't say anything about it. That's his personality! He is not a show-off. He gives unconditionally (like the bananas, cotton candy or his love to Maze). His parents are dead, he doesn't have friends. He is an amazing painter, but he doesn't really show it. He only wants to be seen!He only wants to be seen. Especially from the one he is in love (there are a lot of scenes were you can feel his yearning to be seen). He couldn't tell anyone that he is injured. He wanted Maze to ask him how he was doing. But instead he found Maze with Nueng staying the whole night in the hospital and he was forgotten. Maybe it's because I can relate with his personality very well. To me this scence is there to explain the personality of Phab. His inner struggle, uncertainty and pain. But his love is clear as a lake and he is always true to his feelings.

Beautiful and deep with lot of heart - literally!

What a beautiful story, landscape, cinematography and actors, especially Mix=Tian. From behind the scene you can see how much he gave into the character. Very well done! I felt all the emotions!

It's a very deep story about heart transplantation and what that mean for the recipient to get a new heart from a strange person.

The love story is slow and deep until it reaches the peak. Great chemistry!
There are a lot of very wise messages about life in this series, I liked it a lot.

A big complement to the director and screenwriter.
The OST ist wonderful fitting to the location and the story.

Rewatch value very high!

Much better than the previous comments suggest

I'm glad I watched this drama despite the negative reviews.
Especially the negative comments about the main actor Alan Yu are unjustified in my opinion.
Hi played a character with severe illness and injured legs. His movements were therfore rather stiff and, as noted in some comments, robotic. I did not feel that way at all. It was his interpretation of this character. And he did a very good job. Alan Yu has a great charisma a wonderful soft and tender voice und gives this character of Jing Ci a kind of untouchability. Jing Ci had to learn to suppress his feelings to protect himself and his beloved ones. Alan Yu succeeds brilliantly in this in his play.
All actors and actresses did a very good job. It's a story about friendship, trust and unconditionally love.
It gives us a lecture what hate, striving for power and one's own inadequacy can do to and with people.

Literally lost in fantasy

An underrated drama in my opinion.
I watched this drama in 3 days and I was hooked from the first episode til the end. I didn't skip one minute (as I do sometimes, when it's predictibale and boring :-).
The story is simple: good against evil... But - It shows you, why someone becomes evil. It's always a reason. And in every evil is a sparkle of good.
The embedding of this theme in the fantasy genre and the images of stars are very successful.

The whole cast did a wonderful job. Peter Sheng as kind-hearted, sensible Quin Wen Tian is adorable.
I loughed (espacially with the little urchin :-)) and cried a lot. I felt the friendship and trust between the disciples in my heart. This is not a lovestory or a romance. It's about finding the right path and the inner struggle between good and evil and the right decision. The love between the main couple is sweet like the scent of flowers in spring.

If you get involved in this drama, open your heart to the feelings of friendship, loyalty, trust and love, you will not be disappointed. To follow the story it's important not to skip.

The special effects and green screen aren't the best, but don't detract from the story and the great cast.
