I guess what it means is there should've only been Xuan Yi Ke initially, but since he met and was taken under the wings of Li Shuang, he was given a new name, Jin An. Thus, making that a new persona which is a normal person, but even when he transformed into XYK, his current memories are intact.
(Now this is what I think..) When he got back his memories of being Prince Duan Ao Deng, he probably had his Jade LingLong extracted and lost those memories with Li Shuang. However, their bond was so strong as master(LS) and shadow puppet (JA/XYK), hence he could remember her through that connection. Maybe only the memories when he was in his transformed state due to the shadow puppets' rule of unconditional loyalty to their masters. Like a side effect.
how is the story and leads chemistry ? anyone who already watched give their feedback
I'm an avid fan of this drama so I might be a bit biased, BUT it's a fact that their chemistry is out of this world! Their sweet and spicy relationship will melt your heart~ Storywise, I do think it's pacing normally. It depends on how you perceive it so I suggest you watch a few episodes for yourself ^^~
