hmm I'm still a bit confused why they would choose this method as actors of other languages usually just learn the accent they're supposed to do etc. but does this perhaps explain the "bad dubbing" in Sammy's children's day? I was pretty sure at least one of the leads doesn't even speak Cantonese so were the actors speaking mandarin and had Cantonese dubbed over? gosh I have so many questions now

hey so I noticed in the cast list there's a bunch of people listed as voice actors...what does this mean? are we never hearing the actors real voices? I thought this one wasn't dubbed since there's no awkward syncing issues. and as a separate question, why do Chinese shows dub their own language? I feel so confused about this

since Chinese companies are getting around censorship these days by filming and/or releasing outside China, I wonder if it's possible for another studio to buy the rights to the novel and just make another one? I mean it would suck for the people who already made this one but at this point it just feels like they're never going to release it so....

I really hope it's not another situation like the only one.... sigh. wish I had known before watching. I'm not emotionally ready to wait for another sequel that might not happen 😭😭

does everyone still get paid if they never release the drama? because I would be big mad if I were the sponsor who paid to produce the show and then never got my money back when it doesn't get released. you'd think they'd push for an international release at the very least to recoup some of the losses. although there's a lot of money laundering and such in the Chinese entertainment industry so the whole thing might have been a front to start with
