Hou Ming Hao doesn’t disappoint but…
I’m a huge Hou Ming Hao fan after watching him in Love in the Clouds. I’ve struggled to find another series since that matches his styling and chemistry with FL since.Hou Ming Hao never disappoints and led this series despite I feel not great direction and poor production value - their outfits seemed very garish looking (cheap polyester feel). The soundtrack sang by him is excellent.
My first exposure to Ai Mi was when she was in The Double. She’s a good actress and believable in her role. However the chemistry between ML and FL is lacking - I feel largely because this drama only had 28 episodes and felt somewhat rushed. At the same time there was a lot of controversy given her age so no affectionate scenes which is understandable.
This drama had more potential I feel as there were good actors and actresses. I also look forward to seeing more of Ai Mi in lead roles.

Must watch!! Extremely addictive ?
I’ve only watched He Yu and Meng Zi Yi once in Speed and Love and Blossom and more a He Yu fan. Started watching this when I started running out of episodes of Key to the Phoenix Heart and absolutely no regrets!The ML and FL have excellent chemistry and now I’m an even a bigger fan of He Yu. He is totally believable as an ailing Crown Prince and his shameless pursuit of the FL.
In saying that you just have to go with the rebirth story but watch it for a great cast and production value. There are many good looking actors so worth it for eye candy value 😛
Hoping for a good ending 🙏

Watching because of FL and ML
I have loved Chen Zhe Yuan and Wu Jing Yan since Fated Hearts/Hidden Love and The Double respectively. Started watching purely because of leads and will push through.I do feel that the production value is low and sometimes the scenes seem rather abrupt, not sure if it’s an editing issue or just how the screenplay was written.
Though both ML and FL are good actors, I’m still struggling with their chemistry. Maybe it’s still early in the episodes as Cdramas are all about slow burn but I felt the chemistry between Wu Jing Yan and Wang Xing Yue much earlier in The Double.
Also somewhat disappointed that the ML voice over wasn’t done by him as his voice sounds way better.
Last but not least, the subtitles on Mango TV are absolutely atrocious. ML’s name translates to Hal?? 😓

Watching this because I became a Tian Xi Wei fan after Pursuit of Jade and she doesn’t disappoint!Have just finished 3 episodes and this drama is so refreshing. The scenes when they were younger were so sweet and touching. I have watched Hu Yi Tian before in Blossoms of Adversity and didn’t think much of him but he truly shines here. The chemistry between ML and FL is really good just in the first few episodes.
The sibling rivalry scenes are also very realistic and relatable. School scenes bring me back to school days and how some kids can be really mean 😢
Production value is great and the music thus far has been really good.
Can’t wait to see how it ends!
