I sympathize with her to tell the truth. Of course she is spoiled but she also didn't have happy childhood. I mean her mother is desperate to find Bo Yeon, which is understandable but it feels like she don't care about her younger daughter enough. Also it seems like Cho Yeon and Mu Deok are on better terms now.

It's probably because of what Cho Yeon said to Naksu about some Jin women being very powerful priestess. She said that it's possibile to trap a magical power of the mage, even very strong and powerful one so the mage becomes hopeless. But maybe it's possibile to break this if someone is desperate enough in life or death situation. Hopefully we will find out as show progresses.

Nah, I don't think so. I watched some of Hong sisters previous works and I really don't belive that they would go with this.

She's not dumb but desperate for sure so she will do anything to find her long lost beloved daughter. Her husband failed to find Bu Yeon and she fell for her half brother's lies because she thinks it is her last hope. She despise Mu Deok for now and probably it even didn't cross her mind that some maid may be her daughter.

I may be wrong but I belive in earlier episodes it was said that Bo Yeon has a power of absorbing/conducting energy somehow maybe she did it with one of the ice stones.
