This series had a genuinely interesting story and conflict at its core, and I could see what the writers were…
I feel the the same towards the characters and overall in general, I totally agree. I really admire thier acting but, some scenes just felt like I could not feel any connections towards the characters. And a bit of inconsistences in the series are present to that just kinda makes things felt a bit off. But hope they improve with their future projects.
After watching it twice (yesterday via livestream), I still come to the same conclusion:Great idea, poor execution…
I agree there are a lot of loose ends in the series, the revenge plot, that I like how it turned, kinda like a surprised but truly that could have executed it much better, her mom returning back and Lalin and King finding her so easily, it just kinda felt ruined to me, for me I would say the series is more a 6.5-7/10 for the new idea they tried to explore, for that effort. I will be a bit biased to Faye ig a bit higher rating
Love this series, it's Faye Peraya Malisorn (very bais here), FayeAtom did great, and how it brought a new area for GLs to be centred, cinematography is truly beautiful, and WE GOT MID-AGE DOOMED YURI REUNITED !!!!. Though there were certain things I hoped would improve in the future, the whole idea of the series was amazing, and it could have been delivered better. The first few eps had editing inconsistencies. Later on, it got better, and I understand the shooting and post-production are being done together. I loved ep 1, and the first few, and the last 2 eps were really good, compared to the middle ones, which were comparatively boring. It's more of a binge kinda series, I would say. I like the idea and have praised it before, but how they presented it was a revenge story, yet the turn of events, there are a few loose ends remains which just makes the overall thing feel a bit dull. I truly didn't feel that connected to the characters, but that depends on veiwers ig but FayeAtom and other actors did great work, Arisa's love towards Lalin, the time she kinda used her love for revenge, the guilt u can see, and the end, the free heart of hers from guilt, revenge, and just peace and love with the love of her life, great acting Faye and those action scenes were really good.
I agree I am tired of forgiving your abusive/homophobic/ misogynist father/parents troupe. Especially women when…
For 4 elements, I think it would have been great if Mom didn't came to help that man, like he don't deserve it, although his surviving in their kindness now, but still Lada's should just not care, neither Lada, let his son at least the elder one could take care π.
The pacing is so fast, especially in the last ep, but the plot twist was so good. I need more GLs with middle…
Yesss it's 2026 !!! Homosexual marriage is recognised, bring stories about about how at one time they had to separate of the homophobic society but now they are getting the chance, show struggle bittersweetness and as I said it's 2026 better a happy ending. Honestly make a movie, I hope GDH produces one, similar in the way they made How to make millions before your Grandma dies ππΎ
This GL was almost near perfect until this episode when Lalin encouraged Arisa to forgive her abusive father and…
I agree I am tired of forgiving your abusive/homophobic/ misogynist father/parents troupe. Especially women when they are independent in every way, May in Pluto was good for not bothering about her father but they still kinda forced a bit of his change or whatever at end. Even in Petrichor they hated their Good for nothing father. But I went back and watch this exact part, and I don't feel like it really follows the forgiving the abusive father/ husband trope. Lalin says only to remember the good moments now, when Arisa was breaking down on how father was her hero, more as to console her. But Arisa clearly shut that by saying, that's only one moment about her birth ( more in a sense, I am grateful that bastard contributed in my birth). This clearly feels Arisa has Chosen NOT TO FORGIVE that wasteful father. But I totally get this annoyance, done with this either don't show such parents or just don't forgive them.
I just watched ep 6 and before starting ep 7, I wanna say I love how the series is proceeding now, I was waiting for the backstory so much and finally it's there. The pattern this series follows is what I find impressive, the past over which Arisa whole present is working on for revenge is totally in dark to us. It presented us more as a revenge story with some Rivalry, that was my impression from the trailer. But throughout it didn't felt so much on revenge, like it was there but kinda a balance between Arisa and Lalin life, falling in love and moving forward along with Arisa with her schemes but nothing that time revenge didn't feel so prominent cause we don't really exactly know what Weiling did, so for me there no Weiling deserves this kinda thing. Revenge story I won't say I am great fan, but I believe revenge ruins yourself more than others and I like it when they are able to point this thing in revenge stories and the characters accept that this is ruining them and they will still do it cause now there's no turning back. Arisa went through this phase but the twist that whatever she went through was just based on lie now that's interesting and will see how it will go
I love how its just 2 ep yet, somehow the series at the end of ep feels like not just a Romance drama but crime investigation as well, such a well written work, love they change this from the novel and focus on investigation as well.
The ending do feel suited for the series, they will never fully come out of this spiral, keep moving inside it. A moment seems victory but there truly is no end to it, unless obviously they are dead. Sang-Ah and Bang Tae soep, no matter what they face or fight will stay together as a team, not because they are married, but they choose to share the same secret towards their goal, they are partners in crime, they can't let go of eo even if they are tired of eo. They will keep going not only just they want to but now they have to, they lost the option to turn back and not be involved a long time ago now they will more like they are idk how to say this perfectly but autopiloted themselves to be involved they can't come out and hence this will never lead a good ending for anyone
Jung-won sacrificing her life to save Sang-ah...that's called love. It's also, I'm sorry for what I did to you.…
But one thing that I wonder about it why would Jung won would do that in the first place, like she was ready to kill that guy π but after she was doing it so another murder charge won't be on her. Idk why maybe she was doing it on her impluse at first without worrying about consequences
After watching today's episode, I have some thoughts. Some of y'all are idiots for blaming Sang-Ah for getting…
For real after Jung-Won dead the only character I feel that watchable is Sang Ah, she has her part of wrong doings but at least, still interested in how things turned out, hopefully she take everything and everyone down with her π« . But really who the hell blaming her, even when Tae soep sister came to visit her, she said as a bad person but she still is a victim. And someone through the whole series she's the one with the highest losses, first the CEO Oh guy in her life, then Jisoo dead, her career and reputation on stake time to time, now Jung dead in front of her, SHE WAS DRUGGED AND FILMED WITHOUT HER CONSENT π€¦πΎββοΈ, can't say she is the only innocent person not at all but understand this as well
My reason to watch this was simple, just to see the sapphic story even if it meant queerbaiting or gonna be doomed and it is doomed. But keeping aside that when I think about the story overall it's dark, tones of things happened especially this ep but acting sure is great by everyone. It's shows the dark sides of human nature, greed, power of position and how even survival at a point makes u a monster even when u are a victim, characters aren't likable and I feel that how it is supposed to be, no one's action can be categorised into the good box, they all do wrong, but still even in such cases we someone pick someone's side to defend but here no. No character's are justifiable and this is no one to pick a side from, they all play dirty to each other, get humiliated, hurt.
