Imagine Tankhun instead of Kinn heading the first family vs Vegas heir of the second family going about their mafia deals. It would be would Game of Thrones, the Bangkok version every day.

Wait did you think I thought that this wasn't for getting information?? I wrote my OP because another person commented to me that I was excusing Vegas' action because I like VP. That's why I wrote the paragraph. I guess you missed the context.
and I'm not asking anyone to care about what I think LOL. Especially you!! You don't have to care!!!
I don't know why you think I would enjoy a brutal torture scene, or actually PRESUME I would!!!
Plus, I think you are taking me too seriously!! Which is fine really, I enjoyed sparring on words with you... It's kinda entertaining!
And I love the NOVEL, I will always talk about the novel, because it is BASED on it it. Directly, not inspired, not derived, but based!!!! Even if they change stuff, and make it more interesting or not.... I LOVE the novel and I will talk about it.
Honestly, thank you for taking the time to read my big ass comment, and have such an allergic reaction to it!! I think I like you.
I love Vegas Pete, I loved them the most in the novel, I have even written Fanfiction about them. Thinking about them makes me happy.
However, I just want to put it out, to me, PERSONALLY, the torture we saw in EP 10 was completely wrong by Vegas. Even if Pete is a sadist, CONSENT is essential in a sort of activity like this especially. So even if it makes Pete sexually gratified, the torture was non-consensual, and I DO NOT excuse it.
With that being said, THIS IS WHAT I"VE been CRAVING to see from Vegas since ep1. This unhinged individual, thriving off inflicting pain on others, having fun manipulating others... Not the k-drama second lead shit act he was putting on.
And coming to why I love Vegas Pete, it is because from the novel, or as most of us know one way or another: Vegas undergoes an amazing character development. He goes from being borderline psychopathic to the nicest individual ever, the change is drastic, so huge, it takes my breath away.
In a way, Pete still kind of remains the same before and after the whole incident ( he does get PTSD though) but Vegas has a 180-degree change in his character.
And their story is epic because while it starts out in the most toxic way possible, it develops as an entwined, shared love born out of trauma. Where they end is beyond trusting or believing each other, they become literally shared souls.
And I know NOT EVERYONE has this opinion, but I completely accept that. As I hope you accept my feelings too.
Fuck no, that was straight up torture. No excuses for him!! What he did was absolutely abhorrent. And that's Vegas,…
I think apart from the torture they changed a lot of the other nonconsensual stuff from the novel, that was really... umm,... let's say not appetizing!! They also made Pete wayyyyyyy more badass in the series than in the novel.... So I think VP in the KP series will be interesting!!
I keep falling more and more in love with Pete with every single episode... By the end of episode 14 Vegas will probably have to fight with me for Pete.
Fuck no, that was straight up torture. No excuses for him!! What he did was absolutely abhorrent. And that's Vegas,…
If this was real life, even without your "info dump" closed eyes I would say Stockholm!!! But after reading VP conversations in the book, and your "info dump" again, and the VP interactions in the novel I can say the "Kidnapper" in this case was also very badly affected, almost even more affected than the "Victim."
And just to be clear, I'm not trying to legally, or psychologically justify this is not Stockholm Syndrome.
I'm trying to rationalize why to me, I think, it is so much more than Stockholm Syndrome.
Again to reiterate, you can totally believe that VP is out and out Stockholm syndrome and I will respect that. But at the same time I am also valid to believe that they fell in love not out of the torture or the kidnapping but more than that. It was trauma, shared trauma, trauma inflicted and trauma absorbed, but somewhere down the way they understood they were kindered souls and fell in love.
You can call me a delusional romantic, I won't mind, you can say I'm fooling myself and that might be true too. BUT I WILL SHOUT AND SAY VEGAS PETE IS NOT STOCKHOLM SYNDROME, BUT A COMPLEX, LABYRINTHINE, LOVE STORY, and like you wrote that is my right.
Fuck no, that was straight up torture. No excuses for him!! What he did was absolutely abhorrent. And that's Vegas,…
I mean, I completely respect your opinion and I think it's valid. For me, personally I don't think it's stockholm...
I am not an expert in psychology, but Pete actually falls in love, or realizes he loves Vegas, after he escapes, not during the time he is caged by Vegas.
And the reason he falls in love is not because he doesn't think what Vegas did was wrong. He knows what Vegas did was wrong, but tries to understand the WHY behind it. And because Pete's character has a huge heart, he empathizes with the reason Vegas became a monster to him, but now in his own way he tries to be a better person for Pete, tries to atone and rectify and genuinely for the first time in Vegas' life truly love a person.
And that's what makes Pete love him. And to me while this story is not really healthy at all (actually I've seen and read worse/ toxic BLs and straight dramas and novels), I still find VP to be the most complex and layered love stories.
the amount of people trying to excuse vegas' actions :/
Fuck no, that was straight up torture.
No excuses for him!! What he did was absolutely abhorrent. And that's Vegas, we all knew that. He is a toxic person, who likes hurting and manipulating people for his gain, his pleasure....
But Vegas, at least in the novel, undergoes one of the best character developments, and that's what makes him a favorite in KP novel. He transforms in to something almost completely unrecognizable from before...
But, never, never can I condone what he has done, or doing right now in the series!!
If there is anyone I know who is up to the task at hand. That's Pete.
He is gonna take the bull by the horns and break apart Vegas, in ways Vegas has never been before... He is going to make Vegas feel things, that he has felt never before... If the fucking smile, Pete gave him during the torture is anything to go by, Vegas better be prepared because his cold, crystal heart is at risk.
And Pete baby, you are so strong, so loyal, I'm cheering for you the most. I love you so much.
Well some of you got just what you wanted…was this gruesome enough for you…With that said I will repeat….this…
I am shaken, like I thought I was prepared, but there were moments I felt like crying for Pete... And my heart was breaking for him. This was insane... But everything lived up to my expectations. So far, at least... And I'm so invested now to see how BoC develops VP from here...
and I'm not asking anyone to care about what I think LOL. Especially you!! You don't have to care!!!
