I also think I love character who starts out really machi then melt for the man he falls for. I'm a sucker for that and I hope that's Phu. But yeah. The actors for Solo and Gui seems new...so I'll wait and see. There was a glimmer of softness at the end of ep two that I enjoyed

You got this so right. If the only reason a viewer watch is for for those reasons above, then it can't be seen as a success. Sadness of the acting world. The truth is, I wouldn't want to be in any of these relationships. The only "normal" one is Tum/Tar and they're stepbrothers so that's saying a lot.
