FL is a screenwriter who quit the crew after getting angry with the ML actor in the production. She gets sucked inside the book but didn't even know the story herself? Uh..
She then tries to change the fate of the female villain (which is her) to not end up being killed by the ML by being caring, loving, understanding towards him to change his 'evil character '.
What kind of FL is this? Besides her 'ordinary face', I am actually searching for a different expression from her like surprise, pity, anger, etc. But her only expression is sadness and nonchalance most of the times. It was only towards the end that she smiles a little. I know that she was forced; but hey even if that is the case, she's not showing any other emotions much. The 2FL is more beautiful although her voice is kinda irritating.
The drama could have been better told if they didn't cut a lot of scenes that are supposed to be crucial in the story. Well, this could have also been considered a kind of fantasy due to the part where she healed the ML and took his poison plus blindness and transferred it to her.
And all of these hurts and pains could have been prevented if she was only honest and not selfish enough to keep the ML from the dark. I mean she could have killed the ML a lot of times due to her own willfulness. But the ML still loves her to forgive her for everything. Gah! Wel I guess the writer thought that by giving her the sufferings of the ML in the end, she could at least atone for her sins and mistakes.
First part was interesting but I got bored on some parts and wished that they already finished the story. So I forwarded some of it and still couldn't seem to really finish it just like I haven't finished General's lady. And seem to not be able to at all.. I'm still stuck at Ep. 20. I did try to move forward even before that episode and finish it but still no luck..
First off, the FL is not a beauty. It's true that Xiao Bao said she isn't. And she is also truly stupid for blabbering about her husband's affairs to other people especially the villain. And I wonder where her strength went after she married into the Mei family. Why can't she even protect herself many times when she goes out? It's a wonder how she lost her strength that easily. Moreover, I don't like her outfit at all..
Mei ShiQing reminds me of my colleague who looks good but isn't quite my type. I think he looks better in his other photos. His character being hostile and ungrateful is due to his distrust and anger with his own family particularly his father. But I was surprised when he was also Lord Nocturnal Elf. And it's a wonder how he can even fly across the water and buildings..
The 2nd FL is really really beautiful. Why she can't land herself a main role many times is a wonder. It's a pity that they really forgot about her and didn't even try to save her.
Xiao Bao is also handsome the first time I saw him and he didn't fit the role of a bandit much cause his skin is too tender and white unlike those who always stays out in the sun to rob the people.
Ok honestly this drama is slow (unlike the other dramas with fast CC/subtitles) and I had to FF most of the times.
If you ask me, this is quite tragic even from the start. And the ending is just well.. abrupt and hard to swallow.

That is his own brother posing as him killed her own clansmen. The younger brother only wanted his elder brother to have more power for them not to be bullied, since they lived in the cold palace when they were both young. And their mother died without any help.
But the sad part is, their father and his court have so many greedy practices that made them the villains. One of them is taking blood of innocent moon clan women to become immortal. That's how the FL encountered the ML in Dawei. They were both confined in a coffin where the FL used her blood to revive the 'dead' ML.
Btw, I would like to commend the actor who played ML's brother. His eyes says he is handsome and his aura is just too intimidating as a chief diviner. And yet he could also play the goofy type. This actor has great potential! And he's still young.
