Compelling premise and story potential but writing fails
I wanted to recommend this to suckers of political thrillers with a high tolerance for cliches, but after finishing the series, I decided not to.The story had lots of potential and had enough intrigue, but the writing tanks it. The over use (and I mean OVER) of clichemetaphors, sayings, and quotes, just makes the dialogue cheesy. After Episode 9, cheesy became cringe, and the plot devolves to the unbelievable, continuing the bad metaphors and over-the-top sanctimonious rants. Too bad.A more straightforward storytelling would have made this an interesting watch.
