Outstanding………
What a beautiful, heartbreaking depiction of what it is to be a young gay boy in Japan, and going by the other reviews from mainly gay men it seems to represent current Japanese society’s attitude to homosexuality. The acting from everyone was superb, it was an unusual in-depth examination of the struggle that some gay people go through and it was so sensitively portrayed. I found Korean drama by accident on Netflix during covid and through this discovered Japanese drama, a whole different ballgame! The quirkiness of the storylines, the oh so beautiful Japanese men (not only gay dramas i promise!).I love the depth of the storylines in Japanese drama and Fujoshi, Ukkari Gei ni Kokuru was no exception, it was just beautiful and I will definitely be watching it again; if you haven’t seen it yet I envy you, you have a lovely four hours of your life ahead of you…………
