The story about Chang Ge and Ashile Sun lack “edge”, maybe because Dilraba isn’t a really good fit as a main lead. The male main lead doesn’t quite fit his role either.
The story about Leyan and Hao Du is less predictable and more interesting, although it’s not feasible that someone who is supposed to be good at embroidery would mess up weaving yarn the way Leyan does in the story.
Chinese historical dramas have a lot of “shang tian” and “lao tian” which westernized translators misleadingly translates as “g#d”. It doesn’t correspond the associated biblical “g#d”.

Weepy all too common story line.
A teenagely, weepy, naive story. Although starting out rather good it quickly deteriorated into uninteresting, like unfortunately many Korean dramas nowadays.Main male actor has no character. The other two main male actors have much more charisma.
In Korean dramas the person contesting for the "heroines" love often like in this drama depicted as someone she can hardly stand. It makes the story very one sided. Reality isn't just black and white. Most of the times it's just different shades of grey...
Don't know how can be so popular. Think it's mainly because the female lead used to be a "cute" child star.

Very neglectable drama...
I read someone had rated this drama higher than "Goodbye my princess." This drama is not worth more than 20 % of "Goodbye my princess" and I still think "Goodbye my princess" lack some real story in the dragging middle episodes.A low production drama which lack any meaningful story plot at all.
Drama may have been a little bit better with another main male lead, but actually the main male character seem a little bit ruthless and not at all likeable.
Story plot is like chewing a dry potato which don't want to go down no matter how much you shew.

Too much about christianity, in second part of drama.
An on general watchable drama except for the second part, which has included to much christianity.Non christians (/muslims) tend to over adapt to try to show they are broad minded and "educated", while the truth is they instead show their lack of independent thinking.
2+2 doesn't become 5 just because the majority wants it to be.
Christianity being presented as a human religion does not take away the Fact that the idea of an almighty good g#d is world history's Biggest FRAUD and Jesus was a megalomaniac having fooled millions of gullible people on this planet.
I've tried to google Yae's first husband, but only come up with that he is a fictional person, which I found to be surprising and disappointing thinking taiga dramas are based on facts and thinking the love story between Yae and Kawasaki to be more interesting than the one with her second husband Niijima Jo.

Overrated drama.
Joong-ki doesn't fit as a "cynical" military.Scriptwriter doesn't seem to have decided if it's supposed to be a serious drama or a comedy. Don't know why it's so popular.
I find non christian (/muslim) people tend to over adapt to try to show they are open minded and "educated" when instead it only show their lack of independent thinking.
2+2 doesn't become five just because the majority want's it to be.
Christian people touting their religion as a human religion does not take away the Fact that the idea of an almighty, good, g#d is world history's Biggest FRAUD, considering All the injustices and problems on this planet, despite thousands of years of praying to this imaginary g#d.
Jesus was a low educated megalomaniac, who couldn't handle having been born out of wedlock.
