I did because I bought the express package, but only by fast-forwarding x10 lol

So, after ep 30, from what I gathered watching this on fast forward x10.

-leads get together at ep 32. Some cute scenes, but I don’t really feel the chemistry.

-ep 34: fl recovers her memories after hitting her head while escaping a fire with the ml who also hits his head. When she wakes up, she runs to the streets looking for her dad, but she remembers that her whole family is gon and breaks down crying in the rain. Literally after that scene, we see her taking care of the ml day and night while he is a brief coma after hitting his head. So we don’t really
see her mourn the loss of her whole family (37 members in total), aside from that brief scene in the rain!

-35-36: breaks up and leaves the ml to go on her revenge quest. It’s a case of noble idiocy: pushes the ml to protect him and not get involved
in her revenge. Oh, she also wrote a petition letter to the emperor in which she reveals her identity and declines to marry the sml (which was a royal decree!!). Luckily for her, the letter is conveniently intercepted, otherwise she would be dead if it had reached the eyes of the emperor. lol

I watched ep 36 to 40 in 30 min, but from what I what gathered:
- leads= happy ending, wedding at the end
- second couple = happy ending, the prince becomes the emperor and his wife, the empress
- Third couple = the prince tries to stage a coup (I think), but it was unsuccessful and he is cornered. He and the third fl do this kind of Shakespearean play in the throne room before they both die while everyone watches (ml, fl, sml, all the guards lol). The third fl stabs him while hugging him and we believe he stabs her in retaliation (but it’s super unclear).
- ml’s biological father dies.
- We don’t know if the ml’s mom gets together with her suitor.
- Ml’s guard friend lives.

Overall, the whole drama was anticlimactic. I believe there is a kiss scene at ep 32 (meeting of lips, very meh) and 2 at the very end of ep 37 (nothing extraordinary).

What happened? I thought you had rated this drama a 10?

All the xianxia stuff released this year were pretty meh. Xianxia reached its peak with Love & Destiny, after that, not one recent drama compares

Sword Snow Stride - the best Wuxia c-drama in my opinion.

Which episode? I don’t recall seeking a hug? Unless you are referring to the one at ep 4?

Wei Yan is an entertaining villain. The actor is always fun to watch; and in another drama, he was the most unlucky villain trying to unalive the ml, because the ml had so many connections left, right, north, south, and he was like, “how can I win against someone born with a golden spoon” lol

Oh I didn’t know the ml was married before. Was his ex also a celebrity?

I don’t recall them getting together from the first episode? At the first ep, the ml rejected the fl and would not marry her, and they went their separate ways, only to meet again on ep 2 when the fl fell off a cliff and the ml found her and told everyone she was his sister to protect her. At that time, he was not in love with her.

1. Somewhat together at ep 32 of 40, but she has amnesia so does it even count?
2.At ep 34-35 after she regains her memories. Back together at the end of ep 37.
3. Yes. A third ml who is constantly with them. Dude was the third musketeer always omnipresent and had more scenes with the fl. He is nice but clingy.

5. I would not recommend if you are a sucker for romance.
6. All forgettable in my opinion

I have a feeling that the at the ml won’t be the one to order the sfl’s nose to be cut off? and what happened to him burning the portrait? Are they trying to make his character less brutal?

I have never read a romance novel of any genre whether chinese, American, Korean, etc, that don’t describe the hero of being atleast 6’.

In American historical romance novels, the hero is usually a head taller than everyone, or 6’5 lol

Ah no, I was referring to the scene you mentioned either in the start or end credits about a burning portrait. I haven’t watched the start and end credits yet. I usually skip over them

I don’t recall anything from Blossom, but I saw her in Serendipity. She had the exact same makeup that here
