Watched episode 2 and I have to say the editing is not helping the pacing of the series. Scenes feel abruptly cut and the flow is just lacking direction. I hope the directing and editing will get better as the series continues as both Dew and Ted are doing a good job with their characters.

I agree, Gmmtv has so many artists under contract not being fully utilized.

Just finished episode 1 and I liked it. I enjoy this genre and I felt it was a solid start. Reading complaints about Tee’s acting makes me wonder if maybe many watched this show with a bias against Tee from the start. I felt he fit the role and every actor needs to start somewhere. If he’s only done supporting roles in the past then he should have the chance to level up to a lead. There are plenty of rookies who get a lead role out of the gate so I don’t get why Tee is being so harshly criticized, btw I’m not a Dew or Tee solo fan or shipper. I just want to see an interesting story and Mr. Kill looks like it may deliver.

She was also 2nd FL on Do You Like Brahms? And she was great in that role.

Series could have done a better job of explaining why Phatsa doesn’t know anything about the world he lives in. If he suffers from amnesia then having the other characters mention it would have taken care of it, as it was shown it just made no sense. First episode felt choppy due to bad editing and worse subtitles. Physical fights when the pheromones of a True Alpha would have done the job was a missed opportunity to showTrue Alpha superiority. Hopefully additional episodes will have better story structure. The series having an 8/10 rating from just one episode is baffling.

Finished watching this today and reading the comments I agree with everyone who calls it unhinged and bat-sh*t-crazy, yet addictive as heck. I’m also reading many comparing it to Omegaverse but I think it has more elements of Esper-Guide which is also in the BL manhwa genre. It’s like these two universes had and affair and this guilty pleasure is the result. Affinity is my first dip into short drama and boy did I pick a winner! I can see why new guidelines are being written for these short dramas as they are flying under the radar of censors! If you’re looking for a show to just watch without having to think and just enjoy one outlandish plot after another… then look no more, Affinity is it!

The novel ending is similar with both couples continuing their day to day life.

In all fairness to the series, the ShenGau story is told in the extra chapters after the novel’s ending. Hopefully the series will follow same and add special episode to tell their reconciliation story.

The novel ends with the kids still being young so that is not addressed.
