His mother is absolutely archaic! Imagine getting pissed off because your son is doing dishes! It's a miracle…
Oh gosh! Did you see the part the MIL told her to go back upstairs to clean up the mess! How insensitive! At that point I would have started throwing hands! It also does not sit well with me that she got no type of apology from her husband about the ill treatment she has had to endure for three years up to that night. If anything she blamed herself for it.
I may stay away from your recommendation. I can only handle one blood boiling drama at a time 😀
I just finished Episode 5, and my heart genuinely goes out to anyone who has experienced what the FL is going through with her mother-in-law.
My heart goes out to every woman who has had to swallow this kind of cruel, dehumanising treatment and endure deeply ingrained misogyny simply because she became someone's wife.
And to anyone still married to a spineless man who cannot understand the very basic difference between his mother and his immediate family. Because how are you watching your wife being treated like this and you can not draw a stern boundary?
Then his mother had the audacity to say, “I didn’t raise you to lift a finger.”
Well then, F**KING DO IT YOURSELF. Or better yet, marry your son yourself, because apparently that is the only way this arrangement makes sense. 😭
The FL is someone's daughter too. If her parents were still alive, I cannot imagine them standing by and watching their daughter being treated like unpaid domestic help in the name of “tradition” and “respect.”
My blood is genuinely boiling watching this in the good year of our Lord 2026. How are we still normalising the idea that a woman must enter a marriage, surrender her dignity, serve her husband's family, and accept mistreatment because “that's how things are done”?
I am watching this drama, but my blood pressure is apparently also watching. 😭🔥
This is why I struggle with Kdramas. Can we have a normal storyline without unnecessary break ups and misunderstandings? And can we also have enough episodes so the story can build and tie up in the end properly? What is this break up when we have just two episodes left? There are still so many parts that need to tie up well for a grand ending. Gosh!
I feel like we may never get to see these two paired together again in a drama because of how terrible this was. Such a shame and waste of wonderful actors!
Ep. 3: The tie in between FL & ML, in that cave, and in the desert, where he gets to see her bravery and spunk…
She attempted to kill FL. She stabbed her even and was going to deliver the killing blow before she was shot an arrow. She deserved what she got in the end
Why did ye li's mom took the edict from mo xiuwen? Why did they wanted to hide it? Also how was ye li's mom deceived…
These are my exact thoughts too. I still do not get it. Why did her mother collect the edict? What did she need it for? Or did I miss some things in the previous episodes?
