What I found interesting in this drama

I started watching this drama because of Xu Kai. I wanted to watch a drama where Xu Kai had that energetic, free and fun character. So if you're looking for one, this is it. It doesn't have those misunderstandings, betrayals, schemes jealousy and all of those ugly stuff you would usually find in a drama. It doesn't even have a villain! But still, I couldn't stop crying throughout the entire drama, this is literally a roller coaster of emotions. This is a very sad story but at least, it has a happy ending.

What I really liked about this drama, is that the drama doesn't entirely focus on just the ML and FL. The character development of all the main characters here are very detailed and emotional. I particularly liked Ming Xiu's character development most. The main ML and FL love story is great, but I personally liked the second couple more. I found 3 characters especially pitiful. Bian Luohan, Luo Maiming and Xiaoyuan.

Xiaoyuan was just a child who didn't know anything but, just like that, she lost all of her close ones, and left alone. She really doesn't deserve it.

Some might argue that Luo Maiming was a bad person, but I can't really see it. The only bad thing he did was to slaughter the entire Luo family, but if you think about it, he made the best choice possible. Once Maiming breaks the blood-binding, the Luo family's water source would be gone. Then the entire Luo family would suffer. Worst case scenario, they might find someone else to do the blood-binding again. In my opinion, Luo Maiming was just a closed off and sensitive, yet attentive person who took good care of the ones he loved behind the curtains.

Bian Luohan, I don't even need to explain. Bian Luohan is Bian Luohan, Yue Jinzhao is Yue Jinzhao. He remained strong and forged through to the end. He didn't deserve such a death, let alone become entirely forgotten. But at least, Ying Xuwei still remembered him till the end.

Overall, you should definitely give this a go!
