if you choose to make the 13th prince a villain, why bother to show his good young self?? Especially if you don't explain how and why it became what it became. What added value does it give to this intricate story?

I loved the novel so much... the story wasn't progressing very well, but it' normal not to be to faithful to story. I said to myself: it had its own logic and could have been trying to explain certain dynamics and why the original story was really too long and too deep. I actually didn't mind it too much , in fact I liked it quite a bit.
But now it's really taking a surreal turn, it wasn't them: no one...
I think for those who only watch the drama it's even worse. It has no sense the storyline, the character caratterization, the continuos ping pong. The mains are all strong minded, intelligent and focused, not these wimps, weak person. I really needed to vent to someone my disappoinment... i know i have to watch till the end... I wanted and hoped to give a 10 to the show even just because they finally brought the second part to us... i wait... but i really don't know if i could... i want to cry
she's not goooodddd, i dont like the FL at all.. ugh
I think the big mistake is to make it as a part 2. The first season has big difference with the main story. The part one is really loved by a lot of people. I love much more the novel story but i can understand who only watched the drama and loved only the drama story. The second part, if is a novel second part can't go to the long expectation of fans for the story. If truly go forward from the part 1, it would became a total different story. Probably the first one choose to differ because they don't have time to show all the long real story. The second one try to do continuous parallels to the story of season 1 and chose an actress similar to the first FL, but naturally can't do so. Can't change the loved images on one's heart. The story and the love story have profund depth and meaning, but the story is long and without all the story, the rest seemed dragged from one part and lost romantic deepnest from all the other part. what a great pity! It really can't capture the deepness , the choices and sacrifices of all the characters. Dulcis in fundo, at last, Chu Qiao is from modern time. Without this info in the story you can't really understand why she run from ZhugeYue, why she loved YanXun, what ZhugeYue undestand in this second part of story. All the character have their own growth and all of them at the end have obtained something but not everything that mattars to them. It's similar to Lost you forever in this, but there there are two seasons thinked as one story and 2 seasons.
I think it would be better if this one it has to be a stand alone ones.
Fr... I went into this sequel with high expectations because the prequel (PA) gave us such a strong, fearless…
I love the fact that as in the novel, these three men who loves Chu Qiao, calls her in a different way and different from how others calls her. It gives a sense of love and intimacy with the FL. YX calls her A'Chu, ZGY calls her Xing'er ( that isn't her name, but a nickname, that means star, she is the star of his heart) and LC calls her QiaoQiao. All the other calls her Chu Qiao of princess Fu

The problem is the prequel. This sequel is just started but is more true to the novel than the prequel, starting from the characters' name. What's is good or bad it depends on what are you looking for. Personally i liked PA, it was a 8.5 for me, but i really really loved the novel, is on another level of deepness, every character has life and story, so this is my cup of tea... Chu Qiao seems weeker now, but this is a turning point of the story. She's phisically and mentally very very injured. She really loved and believed Yan Xun: the lake incident, Zhong Yu's death and her Xulin Army's fate left her completely drained. She has to leave YanBei, where she has friends and where she put all her hopes for the future. She didn't expect this betrayal from YX and she have to face her unexpected feelings for ZGY. LC here really has the role of the healer. She needs time to recover phisically and mentally, needs to find new goals for her life
I have a question for the novel reader: Is it really Jiu Ying possessing Wu WangYan who kills Wu Shi Guang's parent/tribe or is really Wu WangYan, but in drama a lead must be white, so they can't let her kill innocents? Thanks very much <3
I'm very excited by this drama/trailer. Hope i will not disappointed. I liked very much PA, but the cliffhanger end let me down so I found and read the novel and that became my favourite novel of all the time. PA is slightly different from the novel and although I liked the drama i loved the novel more... the new trailer seemed to be more faithful to the novel, starting from the characters names. Maybe only this might disappointed many PA fans... I'm a big fan of ZLY but too many years have passed and i think it's right to change the main actor, because FL is very young. About the new FL i'm looking forward to seeing her performance first although i admit i wished for an older one only to have more freedom for the romantic scenes. To aswer to whom ask why so young, i think is because in the novel the character is very young, if i remember correctly she's about five years younger the ML, SML, TML. The novel story is very long and intense, so i'm hoping it's a good thing that this will only be the part2, starting from the lake.
I'm very baffled with the screenwriter choices. This is an hystorical drama, not a modern drama. Ok, following fashion, but for me it's a little too much, maybe it's little too much for someone even in modern times. The woman doesn't have so much freedom and girl power... In times where sometimes the wifes must be buried with the deceased husband, divorce maybe exist but it's a shame for the woman. Man in ancient time that wait for a married woman and marry her... Different class love is nearly impossible (or if the lower class is a female, she can became only a concubine). The parents choose the future husband or wife for the children. Woman can't choose, much less marry a man who could be her son. The problem aren't only the single person, but the society that judge and make life as hell. Chastity for a girl is literally life. I'm ok on putting some novelty, it's a fiction and i don't like sad realistic story ( because the reality is sad in ancient time), i'm watching drama because i want fluffy, love... I usually turn off my brain and I enjoy the show... but... but... in only a few episodes there are so many... I really don't know...
Chao Zhe and even Chun'er, in her tragedy, I think are better in the novel. I really loved them all, but changes is normal...
Especially if you don't explain how and why it became what it became.
