Super mid, lacked REAL depth

First, I must emphasize, I love the cast members. Phuwin is the loml, and his irl friendship with Pond is so cute! Also, Perth and Chimon are both so talented and handsome (I loved Chimon in The Gifted). However, this drama just wasn't the best.

PLOT: I don't even know what to say about it. It was just so mid. The producers definitely tried to make the plot deep and layered, but it just annoyed me many times.

CHARACTERS: Palm annoyed me sometimes because he just seemed kinda robotic and I don't understand where his attraction for Nueng came from. Nueng annoyed me too because he too often seemed like a rich and spoiled kid. I get that he had his losses, but I didn't connect enough with him or the story to care too much.

Next, we have Ben and Chopper. I love Chimon, but Ben just didn't make sense. His feelings were messy and the way he acted was so contradicting sometimes. Chopper, on the other hand, was great. I sympathized with his failures and he added depth to the story that actually made sense.

Both Palm's dad and Nueng's mom annoyed me A LOT.

CINEMATOGRAPHY: This series has a lot of beautiful scenes, which are great for fan edits and could attract the audience. Although I don't really like the plot or execution, the cinematography is great.

MUSIC: I love Phuwin, I love his singing, and I love the OST, especially how he incorporated some Chinese into it.

SHOULD YOU WATCH IT: Overall, it wasn't a BAD drama... It was just... fine. I don't regret watching it because I love the actors so much. For that reason, I think that it's work checking out.

Cute, hilarious, heartwarming

I was reluctant to watch this series at first because it looked really cliche, but there was sooo much hype for it that I finally decided to start it. I liked it, but it wasn't super outstanding. It is full of cute moments in almost every scene that just made me smile so much, and the characters themselves were also hilarious. However, I felt like it reminded me of Bad Buddy, probably because it had many similar scenes even though the storyline is different. The plot is pretty basic but the execution as well as the comical effects and great acting makes it stand out.

To be honest, there isn't too much to say. I think the main reason I'm not super in love with TinnGun is that I loved the actors (GeminiFourth) most as HeartLiming in Moonlight Chicken. Thus, even though I do love TinnGun, they weren't anything new.

I must say that SoundWin was a nice surprise in the series though. I didn't think I would like them as much as I did.

2gether vibes

SSIMM was the one of the middest and fluffiest BL I ever watched. Nothing about it stood out. Yet at the same time, it was engaging enough for me to remain invested. The conflict was also minimal, which allowed me to binge it without stressing. Overall, it reminds me a lot of 2gether the series, because the main characters, Daonuea and Tine, both have like 3 people who liked them, and the other male leads, Khabkluen and Sarawant, are super cold to other people who are not their partners, and it was also just mid. After seeing some reviews and comments for this BL, my expectations were at rock bottom, so it was a nice surprise to see that it was not that bad. I watched this because I wanted to get to know JoongDunk better, and I don't regret it at all. This BL nicely set up their chemistry, and I'm very excited to see more of them in Hidden Agenda!

Honorable mention to Satang in this because he looks so good in this series!

Super fun but kinda boring

As a rather new PondPhuwin stan, where else would I start but their debut drama, FUTS? I'll admit, it was a bit of a chore to get through this series, and I had almost no incentive to watch it because of the boring plot. Additionally, a lot of Mork and Duean's actions were kind of unacceptable (Mork was kinda manipulative and Duean lied a lot) BUT I didn't really mind them because this drama is supposed to be unserious anyways. There was a lot of secondhand embarrassment and cringe lines, but overall, the humor throughout the series was very unique (in a good way), especially Duean and Mork's scenes. I love Duean's dumbass snarky attitude xD and Meen is hilariously adorable.

Overall, I loved watching young PondPhuwin and NeoLouis! They were seriously so cute and they've obviously grown so much from this series. This series was nothing extraordinary, but I will prob revisit it for a good laugh.

Beautiful, refreshing, adorable

I just wrote a review but it got deleted so I’m gonna make this really quick. This bl reminded me of why I love bls. The progression, the love, the story was all so natural, so subtle, so beautiful. It was a creative and unique way to approach a rather cliche storyline. The two leads had amazing chemistry that just made the series whole. From the moment they met each other, the viewer can feel a connection established. Overall, this bl is really good and worth a quick binge! (I finished in two days)

Beautiful, fulfilling love story between two innocent high school boys

I have a lot of conflicting views about this story. In a way, it was just another rookie high school bl about one kid who’s poor with amazing and relatable parents (Xuqizhang), and another kid who’s rich with strict and ignorant parents (Yeguang). But the characters carried such chemistry between them that falling in love with them is inevitable.

MAIN CP:
The two leads, Xuqizhang and Yeguang were absolutely adorable! I would describe their relationship as two innocent puppies falling in love. Their story was executed well enough to really touch my heart yk. However, throughout the drama, there were quite a few scenes that were cut short and I feel like they could’ve been further explored. Then again, I feel like the episode count was the perfect amount to keep me invested because there’s only so much that can be done about these basic high school bls. There aren’t exactly plot holes, but I feel like it kinda ended in the middle of a lot things happening.

SIDE CP:
Tbh, they were kinda confusing. Once again, you have another seriously cliche cp, with a guy who doesn’t want to get hurt (that’s how I interpret Ray at least) and a guy who’s willing to do anything to gain the other guy’s trust (Jian). Their relationship wasn’t as deeply explored (obviously) but it moved pretty fast. Overall, I didn’t really understand them, but they were cute enough so I just went with the flow.

OVERALL:
It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re into HeartLiming or TinnGun (I feel like they kinda all had that cliche high school trope) and also in general! I feel very content after finishing it :)
