2) The emperor is a very good character in my opinion. He’s very funny and gets along well with the ML once they meet, and also with FL. He and ML are hilarious together.

The story is really interesting but doesn't flow very smoothly, maybe it's the editing. All the characters are somehow entangled with one another but they just appear one after the other without pause, everything sort of gives me whiplash. They didn't give much thought to world building that's for sure.
