I wasn’t expecting much because I’ve seen remakes before and some were disheartening that I didn’t want to have high hopes. I watched this one going in knowing there were two dramas already made so I should see similarities. There were many similarities but this Thai drama did the name justice. At episode 5 I was hooked .. the FL can cry a River. The ML and FL matched very well and their emotions I can’t even describe how they reel you in.

The Whole cast was amazing. The Show didn’t drag at all in fact like someone said they took the best of both dramas and condensed it and made it 10x better. The storyline and the art was still top notch . You didn’t want to hate anyone except the aunt.. when you see someone wearing red lipstick .. it’s not a good thing I guess.

Overall the show didn’t drag .. I knew what was coming but I didn’t know what was coming.

They separated the baby’s death so you didn’t cry for hours on one sitting .. you end up crying in three different sittings.. The emotions you felt broke your heart but they let you breath until they break it again.. I don’t remember if my eyes were dry after episode 12 ..

I enjoyed this remake a lot and recommend a rewatch.

The chemistry is really good

I am a big fan of Bai Lu and a bigger fan of Kai Lu Romance so when I had a chance to watch this one I was thinking it would be like ”lucky’s first love” where the chemistry wasn't all there but It was enough... But after watching this.. You really can't get enough of the FL/ML connection.. They had great chemistry together and like any typical romcom.. There were sweet and funny moments throughout. I was thinking of reading the book but towards the end of the story, it started to falter.. Don't get me wrong I would still skip to watch the Main characters moments.. After a while it still made sense. It could have been shorter but as all Chinese stories.. Keep dragging it out.. Overall it was a must watch at least for the main characters.. The side characters did pay their dues and did the story proud but again it could have been shorter.

When you watch a remake - come in with the mindset that it may not be as good as the original.. then you wouldn’t be like me.. crying because I spent my whole Saturday watching all 20 episodes of childish , incoherent babble. Ok I’m gonna admit the first couple episodes I thought were good or at least I thought .. I cried at a few moments because I felt so bad for the princess. But reading their bio- I thought these would be seasoned actors. I mean the pretend kissing scenes could have been angled better so it didn’t look like they hated each other. Maybe it was in her contract not to kiss actors but come on- at least try and make the scenes more realistic.

The side shows . Omg the aunt was terrible. I really wanted to wipe the red lipstick from her teeth.. it really got to me at times. It didn’t look good anymore.

Question- so when princess was ousted .. where did she go .. she couldn’t set foot back into BhutIn right.. But he can still visit her..
I hope there is a second season so I can at least see what happens

Would I recommend it - if your not doing anything on a Tuesday then watch it .. don’t waste your Saturdays on it
