I would add the Salesman from Squid Game played by Gong Yoo. Only a few scenes and one episode but very memorable. Popular actors should definitely take more villain roles.
Just a warning, don't watch this after watching Pursuit of Jade. I was rooting for Chang Heng the entire drama even if i am well aware the title isn't Love between Fairy and God of War :'(
He just didn’t want this son to die. What was he supposed to do otherwise??
No i wanted him to go "my son is in danger, please help me people who are super close to me and super strong and have already defeated Babylon several times, you are the only ones i can trust !" How would they know ? He had a mic, nothing else, they had no access to their facility and no way on spying on them except him. Helping Babylon never granted him a small chance of saving his son, it was a non-existent one. He worked for them, he knows exactly how they operate. The death of him and his son was 100% guaranteed. Even if siding with his teammates had a 1 % success rate, it's better than zero. In the end, it's Jinman who saved his son (right after the villains entered the facility, what a convenient, lazy writing!)
It was a stupid, off character storyline that made no sense and completely ruined a beloved character.

His son was dead either way. Why help Babylon who would 100% kill him and his son and not try something with the only people he can trust to rescue him even if the chance is slim to none ?
I'm sorry but making Pasin betray them is so stupid and destroyed a very cool character. Like what did he think was going to happen ? That Babylon would just free his son and they could live happily ever after ? It's Babylon, it's obvious they can't be trusted and would have killed both of them.
If he has already paid he should have quietly let the matter close..what's the point of suing the tax service…
Because why not ? He has nothing to lose. It's also good PR. During the peak of the scandal, he can say he is innocent until proven guilty and by the time the judge closes the case, guilty or not, everyone would have forget it and it won't make the headlines. Don't forget he has a whole team behind him.
I've rewatched this gem for the 3rd time and i appreciate it even more now but i see the rating has dropped even lower ?! That's almost criminal ! I think the reason is the fact that people vote according to how they wanted the story to turn out instead of judging the quality of the drama by itself but to me, the ending is a happy ending and they made up. Her monologue at the end of episode 1 and the different intros (especially the one in episode 9) and even the main intro (that basically shows their beach date in Japan) also prove they are seeing each other. Also, i believe that's the reason they gave I-Ra another romantic partner so she can't end up with Won-Jun like in the webtoon. It also resonates with the director's previous work (crash landing on you) and the whole theme of lovers who can't be together in Korea but can freely date in another country. I agree it's ambiguous, i myself like endings where they live happily ever after with weddings, little babies, rainbows and sunshine but i believe that from time to time, we could use a little subtlety, it fits really well with the tone of this drama, very realistic, mature, it's almost poetic. You can't take this drama at face value, you have to pay attention, appreciate the subtlety and the intended messages. This won't make this drama popular or consensual but i think it makes it beautiful.
PS : the OST still gives goosebumps, so emotional, i absolutely love it.
Pardon me but i'll quickly insert myself into this debate. To me these scenes are not metaphors because he has the same clothes and haircut as he did in the final episode in Japan so these scenes are just grounded in reality.
You said "as guys". Statistics like that are irrelevant. Most people who watch kdramas are women and if you are talking numbers, she has more than 13M followers on Insta, more than some popular like Kim Go-Eun, Son Ye-Jin or Park Min-Young. She must not be that bad to look at ...
Hey, Killer Knetz, you're the problem. You've got your irrational, pet hatred of KSH, and by god, you're never,…
Don't bother, look at their childish immature replies. They are obviously kids and if they are not, it's concerning ... Any adult knows how wrong that dude is and nobody in their right mind would defend him. Big predator behavior at least.
By the way, i don't see anyone mentioning this but the sister Gong Zi Shang is just hilarious, she really made the drama more fun.
