The acting was superb across the entire cast. Everyone did a great job with the material they were given, and there were definitely moments that pulled at my emotions. I actually cried when she finally got to speak with Jinwah. That scene really got me. 🥹

That being said… the storyline was extremely predictable. It felt like the drama was trying really hard to make the plot more complex and add layers of context, but unfortunately, I don’t think it succeeded. Some of the twists felt like they were there simply to make things seem deeper than they actually were.

I watched 12 episodes in about 8 hours, so clearly it kept me watching! 😂 ( A lot of Skipping) The first 3–4 episodes were really good and had SO much potential. I was genuinely invested and excited to see where the story was going. But somewhere after that… I don’t know what happened! 😩 The story started losing the magic that made those first episodes so enjoyable.

Overall, I think the cast carried this drama. There were definitely emotional moments and some good performances, but unfortunately, this is not one I’ll be adding to my rewatch list.

Would I rewatch it? Absolutely not.

The beginning had me thinking I was in for something really special, but by the end I was just trying to make it through. Such a shame because those first few episodes had so much potential!

All These Years was such a beautiful and emotional movie! I really enjoyed the story, the romance, and the way the characters’ relationship developed. It pulled me in and had me feeling all kinds of emotions. My only complaint is that I wish the movie had been longer. There was so much more potential in the story, and I would have loved to see more of their relationship and what happened along the way.

I also have to say… I did NOT like the mom! 😂 Some of her actions and choices really frustrated me, and I definitely had some feelings about her throughout the movie.

Overall, though, I really enjoyed All These Years. It was touching, romantic, and definitely worth watching. I just wanted MORE! Give me another hour or two and let me really live in this story! ❤️

On The Day of Becoming You 21 days ago
I originally started The Day of Becoming You because I absolutely fell in love with Go Ahead. When I realized the screenwriter was the same and that a few of the actors were returning, I had high hopes and thankfully, this drama did not disappoint! ❤️

What I really loved was how they put their own spin on the body-swap trope. Usually, these stories are all about the characters desperately trying to figure out how to switch back. Here, they keep switching back and forth with no warning and no way of knowing when it’s going to happen, which made for some hilarious situations and kept me completely entertained.

The chemistry between the leads was so good, and the combination of romance, comedy, and heartfelt moments made this such an enjoyable watch. I laughed, I swooned, and I genuinely cared about the characters and knowing that the same screenwriter behind Go Ahead was involved made it even more special. You can definitely see why I was excited to watch it and it absolutely lived up to my expectations. Funny, romantic, charming, and surprisingly heartfelt. Definitely worth watching if you enjoy C-dramas, great chemistry, and a body-swap story with a fun twist! ❤️

I just started following the screenwriter, and I’m currently watching another one of her dramas, A Day of Becoming You, and it’s actually pretty good! 😂 I also noticed that a few of the actors/characters from Go Ahead are in this one too, which makes it even more fun to watch. I guess I’ve officially become a fan of her work! ❤️

Title Shine on Me Spoiler
I really enjoyed Shine on Me and honestly fell in love with the family just as much as I did with the main couple. The family relationships, especially the grandparents, mom, and Jiang Rui, added so much heart and made the story feel warm, emotional, and relatable.

BUT… that ending?! 😭 What the hell happened?!

I understand wanting to give them a child and show that they built a happy life together, but why did we have to jump so far ahead and basically forget about everyone else we had grown attached to? I wanted to know how the mom was doing, what happened with the grandparents, and most importantly, WHERE WAS JIANG RUI?! He was one of my favorite characters!

And honestly, who was sitting around thinking, “You know what the viewers really need? An update on the ex-crush!” Like… respectfully, I did not care that much about his future. I wanted updates on the people who actually mattered to me throughout the story!

The ending made it feel like they added a new family and completely forgot about the original one that we spent the entire drama getting to know and love. I wanted a proper family celebration, more scenes with the grandparents and parents, and definitely a Jiang Rui update before we jumped ten years into the future.

Overall, I really liked Shine on Me. The story, relationships, and family dynamics pulled me in completely. But that ending left me feeling like I was robbed of the closure I actually cared about.

Great drama. Great family. Great love story. TERRIBLE decision on what to show us in the finale. 😂😭

And yes, I will forever be wondering: HOW IS JIANG RUI?! 😂

Title Go Ahead
Go Ahead completely stole my heart! ❤️ This drama was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. I felt every single emotion possible; I laughed, I cried, I got frustrated and mad, I smiled, and there were moments when my heart just hurt right along with the characters.

What made this drama so special was the way it portrayed family, friendship, love, healing, and growing up. The relationships felt so genuine and beautifully complicated. The characters weren’t perfect, and that made them feel real. I became so emotionally invested in their lives that by the end, it honestly felt like I was saying goodbye to people I knew.

I really didn’t want to see this drama because of a trailer that didn’t do it justice. I had so many emotions watching this drama. I laughed and cried and everything in between. I’m highly recommended.
