About why they're still

Mediocre...
it's a good thing that someone took a step to make horror with gay characters but that doesn't mean I will ignore the obvious plot holes, unnecessary and abandoned plot devices that were completely forgotten out of nowhere...the ending is quite fitting for a horror-thriller if done correctly...but it was not done properly with many loose ends...too many questions were left to be answered to call it an open ending, rather call it and incomplete ending...open endings does not work like that...seemed like the writer didn't know what to do with it anymore...
as someone said in the comment section that the writer of this show has a tendency to do that as the same thing happened in manner of death...she did not improve at all rather worsened a bit...I see her potential so if she really tries I think she can do a good job...some actors really did good but some of them were overdoing it time to time...but overall it was okay...

In conclusion the comment section was much more interesting...so many creative people...so many weird people...

True... I'm rarely satisfied with cast of novel adaptations as they don't often match with the description given in the books...I admit it's not a very good habit but most readers got this habit hehe...Anyway, I didn't know Mo Du drama was airing already or the name change from light in the night...I saw a clip of it in YT with #jitd and didn't associate it with Mo Du...After watching it my immediate thought was OMG, this guy is giving me perfect Fei Du vibe, he would make the perfect Fei Du, I want him as Fei Du etc...Then I came here to check out what's the drama is all about...And well, it's been Fei Du all along lol...I haven't watched any of this actor's work before as I rarely watch C drama but here he did a perfect job...He is Fei Du...

I also ended up liking imperfection (defective) more than I expected as nowadays I don't like sci fi as much has I used to...btw there're manhua adaptations for both Drowning Sorrows in Raging Fire and imperfection...I'm dying to read Drowning Sorrows in Raging Fire novel but the translation is still ongoing...I've mtl'ed enough novels to fry my braincells so I'm not gonna do that anymore...

Guardian, word of honor, and jitd are all adapted from Priest novels...Priest is really famous in webnovel circle so youku would only get good results from them...but they're being so shitty about these...Wish Priest novels were adapted by some good platforms, they're so good and doesn't deserve this treatment...

Even if anyone isn't Ace too much sex scenes makes many people uncomfortable, whether straight, gay, lesbian etc...As an Ace I don't really care about any kind of sex scenes...Tho if they're important for the plot I'll read or watch them, otherwise skip or skim...My greatest nightmare was when I read the whole 50 shades of Grey trilogy after losing in truth and dare...
