If u decide to read it someday I suggest u go slowly...It's a really good novel but a huge one, so it takes time for a busy person or casual reader to get into it...Hopefully we'll get to see the adaptation too, I liked how closely they followed the novel...

I'm also quite busy with Uni and tuition but if I don't read for one day I feel like a crazy person...reading kinda keeps me sane xd...

I think you've noticed it already but the cases are all connected btw...

Book 3 is named after Macbeth and I don't think they have much to complain about this one...Kind of organized accidents and crimes...Feifei's toxic dads vegetable situation explained...Our couple starts to get more closer in this one...

Book 4's title character is from Demons by Dostoevsky...Involves school bullying and school gangs...Reciter was involved with and helped the criminal with an alias from the book demon...DuZhoz gets really closer...

5 is Edmond Dantès from The Count of Monte Cristo...Which is also one of my fav classics of all time btw...it's the final showdown, solving the final mystery behind that brilliant officers death, what really happened, how is everything connected and time for tying up and getting to the mini boss and real mastermind...

Epilogue is no-cringe fluff that we wish never ends...new cat alert...

Btw all the books are named after really great classics and I've read them all...You can give it a try sometimes to see if u like it...It's really clever with how the characters the books are named after or the books they're from are relates with the cases...

I think govt doesn't allow domestic content to be sold overseas???Otherwise with so many great novels we'd have seen at least 1/2 Netflix adaptations...there's also some restriction on how much money they could make by selling their works...I'm not fully clear on this but I know that one danmei author was arrested and sentenced for earning more than govt set amount after self-publishing her work...

@Dawn Thanks for understanding...I didn't notice main comment was saying censorship was beautiful and never agreed with it...With that IKR I was agreeing that CN series has better plot, not censorship is good...I was also talking about that covering bad acting with explicit scenes...Not that everything with explicit scenes are bad and not everything with it is good...
