Most likely that's the case. I read that some directors or producers are "hunting" for CP in award shows too. They look for some pairs that will look great together for a start.

This drama seems to be a big production with many seasoned actors. I really like this CP pairing, the visual is a bomb and I did watch The Truth but I didn't know that LYN-SZE have an existing ship though. I always like SZE and LYN individually before this drama or the VS existed. This pairing is like my dream came true.

Yes, he is super polite with ALL of his female co stars. But I do think he is loosen up a lot in this drama because from what I can remember this is the first drama where he has to have plenty of skinship with his young pretty and unattached FL, not only a mere kissing scene.

Tbh, I don't think LYN is comfortable enough to do what Leo did in TTEOTM in term of steamy scene. From what I have seen so far, he usually put up a wall among most of his female co stars. His closeness with SZE is considered a new achievement for his standard...

He said he didn't read the novel but saw those parts in the internet 😂. I saw the trailer included the scene where WS fetch XQ when she visited her family and DX and her husband. In the novel, the scene after he carried her to the inn was explicit but endearing at the same time. I'm excited on how they will clean that one up because that is one of my fav scene.

I have to say that this novel is one of the best C novel I had ever read. The plots are tight and the characters are very well written. I didn't finish reading it because I don't want too much spoilers.

I'm agree that LYN and SZE by visual alone is already spectacular. I just hope their chemistry will be sizzling and they will serve us some great hot scene that appropriate for C's censorship chopping board just like in TTEOTM. Please not that traumatizing kissing scenes like in The Long Ballad or Starry Love 🤣

Most trailers of dramas feature kissing scene because kissing scene plays big part in marketing but this drama trailer is very kosher. Quite surprising since the novel itself is very explicit.

LYN seems to be very close to SZE, I'm agreed. He addresses her as Zu Er in public not the usual Song Laoshi or Zu Er Laoshi. He is also seems to be very excited with this drama too, he talked a lot about it in his livestreams. He said he likes it very much and specially chose it despite he had many options.

Btw, I just saw in Twitter that LYN did respond to the Qs about those 18+ scenes in the drama. He said those scenes are 拍不了. If they did the directors and actors will be in jail...🤣

That's what I'm wondering also. Those +18 moments are very important to the story not only for fan service. CMIIW, I don't think LYN ever had any hot scenes aside from simple pecks.

Qin lasted only for a short period of time and Han came right after. They got some similarities so I can never distinguished it well unless is stated clearly. That's why I said Qin or Han. But for sure it's the same period with LLTG and Painted Skin (the movies).

For me, the most damaging thing MY did in deciding TH's fate after she annihilated SJ's tribe is he made the decision without asking what SJ really wants.

As a righteous god (I threw up in my mouth a little bit when I said it), he's only thinking about compensating what had lost. He had no idea about the feelings and heart condition, just like how he just shooh SJ's away when he was busy in the war and then asked for another chance after his battle was over. He never ever thinking about her feelings.

There are many confrontations between our leads in this drama but MY-SJ's in bamboo cottage is the one gave me the sucker punch feeling the whole time because of how true and how unfair the situation is for SJ and at the same time gave me an enormous satisfaction because how MY's heart is shattered by her words.

MY is the perfect example of too little too late. Instead of growing together as a couple, he came back after he thought he is a fully equipped husband and asking for another chance. Bad news, MY! A woman's heart has turned into hard callous after repeatedly exposed to the hard surface. Before even a smile from you can made her over the moon but now even though you give your life she will scorned you.

SJ is a total innocent victim here. She does nothing wrong but have to paid such hefty price.

SJ's reaction when MY asked her to sleep on the bed made me laugh so hard......I have to say that's not SJ but 100% BL....

All the bamboo cottage scenes are beautiful. MY and SJ costumes are simple yet elegant without the usual high fashion couture robes and elaborate jewelry. I love MY's simple hair crown where he gained his eyesight. That scene was perfect! His reaction, the ambience, the costumes, everything.
