Zen is also insecure and he’s having that whole competition with Dora because he is scared Ryo won’t like him if he’s not his usual best of the best self. Plus, it was Ryo who brought that annoying dude between them. He made Zen insecure first. They’re both horrible at communicating not only Zen.
This is 10 episodes of a whole lotta nothing. Japan, as usual, gives us four boring ones for every genuinely good one. Unfortunately, this was one of the boring ones. It’s the kind of story where the characters overthink and overcomplicate something that is otherwise simple and perfectly logical. That guy strung the other dude along for ten episodes under the guise of “We’re the BESTEST FRIENDS in the whole wide world!!!,” and it drove me up the wall. I wanted to slap him. And, once again, we get the classic Japanese romance treatment:sexually frigid, prudish characters who kiss like a 17th-century couple trapped in a contractual marriage. They never seem to feel desire, never get boners and little pecks are the peak of their mutual sexual attraction. The flashbacks were also annoying, especially because they weren’t presented in any clear chronological order. They constantly interrupted the flow of the story instead of adding to it. Especially since they were boring and nothing was happening. As for Wataru, I found him immature and selfish. There was really nothing standing between them, yet he managed to turn a molehill into a mountain. The central conflict felt entirely self-inflicted, which made it frustrating rather than compelling to watch.

Awesome acting by both ML and FL but maaan the FL is so freaking dumb. I thought she was smart but she was so easily led by the nose by third master..She needed 65 episodes to realize she was stupid. The ML however is a delicious hot treat. Excellent actor with a mature vibe and a mesmerizing voice. Brutal for the first 30 episodes or so, red flag galore but you can’t resist falling for him. 🔥 This was a well made, slightly bigger budget and better script and writing drama. Not enough romance if you ask me but the ML is worth the watch.
I can´t stand Go Mi Nam....always talking like she´s six years old... I get that she is supposed to be innocent…
I don’t think I disliked a character as much as I disliked this incredibly low-IQ girl. I really think her brain was underdeveloped and that’s one of the reasons he talked liek that and acted like that. She was like an ameba, a living creature but without brain or any awareness.
I think the FL is the stupidest character I’ve ever seen. A low IQ pathetic spineless idiot who only creates problems for those around her. Always whining and always living in a continuous self-inflicted tragedy. The ML is a tsundere-wannabe but in reality is an egocentric ass. This series was unbearable and only the music saves it. It definitely did NOT age well..
Thai BL really said “we’re gonna keep serving the same tropes until everyone on earth has been converted”…

if you guys want a BL with this premise HIStory 1 is the one. And if you want a bromance with this same premise (with a happy ending straight love story but a tragic ending for the other guy in the bromance) the Thai drama The shipper is excellent. History1 is on Viki
