i havent started yet but i hope its not a dazzling 2.0 :(((
Dazzling (because of the tiny adult storyline) left a sour taste in my mouth that's why I am sceptical about this one.
It started off great for me but I have lost interest and I was expecting the adult storyline to have happened after they left school with flashbacks. I just watch the last 10 minutes of each episode now.
I enjoyed the series. Kim Namgoong did a phenomenal job. However, I don't think Jeon Yeo Bin should have played the FL. The FL is supposed to be 25, and she doesn't look that to me compared to her friends. I often felt her forcing her voice to sound younger. I loved every other actors' portrayal of their characters. I understood Lee Seol, and I think her character was solid. I think she may have been my favourite character. Even with her jealousy, she was never mean to the FL.
What I don't understand is people's reaction to finding out she was terminally ill. What would you do if someone you love was terminally ill and wanted to spend the rest of their life doing what they love? If your first thought is anything but yes to them, it is selfish.
So I didn't understand why people were hating on Director Lee. Nor did I understand her dad. Like you would rather see her waste away on a hospital bed than living it up on a movie set? Knowing that, regardless, it will end the same way for her. And one of the comments in the movie says the FL lead was selfish for not thinking about the audience when they watch her movie, and later finds out she was terminally ill while acting it and didn't make it.
They took so long to get to their adult stage and dating era that I lost interest in it. The ML suffered too much for us not to build an entire episode on his success.
It started strong but took too long to reach its climax that the resolution seemed forced to me.
I have the same sentiments as you regarding the female lead. Also, having read the novel, the ML is not suitable for the role either. ML is at least 7 years older than the FL. The novel was so beautifully written that I couldn't even finish the drama.
Your review is spot on for me. I can't stand the ML's part with his mother and her relatives. Because of this, I'll most likely drop it or just skip through anything with them together. They boil my blood. He is too weak to be the ML.
Also… Lanxi’s father was so shitty. He didn’t even flinch as his son was beat. He knew what his “wife”…
OMG, I came here to say this. the only thing that was not satisfying about the end was that the useless king (Lanxi's father) did not suffer. I wish his pain was slow and very agonising.
This series...the acting in this series has been the best I've seen in a Thai BL ever.
They've acted so well that I'm sure some people will confuse Neo for Boston in real life. He was so good that I'm tempted to message him that I loved hating him.
SY is afraid but she has seen enough not to be that afraid anymore. She has problems-priorities that needs to…
I am not saying she should be screaming. But her demeanor isn't one who just discovered ghost, is possessed by one (who doesn't want to leave) and is in a potentially very dangerous area.
The door is not invitation just by invitation. if you'll recall her first case when she started using mirrors. she left the door open and the ghost of the boy came in.
There are so many discrepancies in this drama that has been pissing me off. Especially with Kim Tae Ri's character. How she is not scared of wandering alone at night after discovering ghosts in certain areas. Also, after being warned about keeping doors open, she keeps doing it.
