Reducing an entire audience to teenagers blindly supporting idols is a pretty weak generalization. Viewers come from different age groups and backgrounds and people can genuinely enjoy a performance or a drama for multiple reasons story direction chemistry, or yes even an actor they like. That doesn’t automatically invalidate their opinion. Also, popularity doesn’t happen in a vacuum. Consistent ratings, international traction, and engagement usually reflect that something is working for a broader audience not just a biased few. You’re free to dislike the acting or the drama, but dismissing everyone who disagrees as immature doesn’t make your point stronger it just makes it look dismissive. Criticism carries more weight when it focuses on specific aspects of performance or storytelling rather than labeling an entire fanbase. Just finished watching 20th Century Girl after catching up on Perfect Crown and honestly it only reinforced how underrated Byeon Woo seok has been all along. And all these silly goose that discount his talent, who dismiss his talent clearly haven’t explored his filmography. He’s taken on a wide range of roles over the years he has been over 17 kdramas and movies.... boyfriend, best friend, second lead , sidekick, even villain and built his craft step by step.Now that he’s finally getting the spotlight it’s not sudden hype it’s long overdue recognition. Characters like Ryu Sio, Ryu Sunjae, and Prince Ian just prove his versatility and depth.If anything this moment isn’t luckit’s the result of years of consistency, growth, and dedication. So yes, absolutely worth the tears and the respect.
