this is essentially what i've been saying in other platform. saying that iu is 'overacting' and bws is 'too flat'…
This...... I don't know why people are saying Byeon woo seok can't act when clearly we've seen him as a antagonist who overshadowed the ML .... And people were swooning over him, in 20th century girl people were crying throwing up for him and now they are suddenly like he can't act..... People are just too weird nowadays

Before criticizing the drama, it would be more effective to express your point in a clear and constructive way…
Please learn how to write in English clearly before criticizing others. It’s hard to take your point seriously when it isn’t even communicated properly.

My conclusion after episode 6 is that it's an expensive project with cheap execution. They haven't even learned…
Calling the waltz scene cheap execution feels more like a surface level reaction than an informed critique.First the scene is part of a fictional modern constitutional monarchy not a historical documentary. The drama intentionally blends contemporary tone with royal aesthetics, so expecting strict traditional ballroom precision misses the creative direction entirely.Second, the actors themselves trained for the scene with a choreographer and practiced multiple times before filming. Even behind the scenes footage shows that they were learning and refining the waltz specifically for this sequence, not presenting themselves as professional dancers .Third the purpose of the scene was narrative, not technical perfection. It marks a turning point in their relationship shifting from contractual tension to emotional connection and is framed as a romantic, fairytale moment rather than a competitive ballroom performance .If anything judging it purely on technical dance standards while ignoring storytelling intent is a limited way to evaluate a drama scene. You’re free to dislike it but calling it cheap doesn’t hold up when the context preparation and narrative purpose are actually considered.

Let’s be clear camping under every post won’t rewrite reality.
You can stay here all day repeating the same narrative but it doesn’t change measurable facts. Perfect Crown is pulling strong ratings, growing viewership leading its time slot and trending internationally. Those are objective indicators of success not opinions that can be argued away in comment sections.
Criticism is normal and expected for any popular drama, but constant presence in its content just to downplay it only proves one thing it has impact. And impact is exactly what successful shows have.
You’re free to keep camping here, but while that’s happening the drama will continue to grow, reach wider audiences, and achieve even higher milestones.
At the end of the day, numbers move forward regardless of who chooses to stay behind in the comments.

Calling Perfect Crown a bad or cheap doesn’t make it one facts do.
The drama opened with high ratings, crossed double digits within a few episodes, and is leading its time slot. It’s also trending internationally and ranking across multiple countries. That’s not “cheap drama” behavior that’s what a hit looks like.
What’s actually happening is noise, not reality. A loud group of fans camping under every post doesn’t change viewership numbers or global rankings. Criticism is fine, but twisting narratives to downgrade one drama just to uplift another isn’t.
You don’t have to like Perfect Crown, but calling a clearly successful drama a failure just exposes bias, not facts.

Princess Hours? Isn't it a very old drama 2006? Pardon me, I have not watched that, I guess many haven't. The…
Calling it no originality because two dramas use romance tropes is like saying every detective story copies Sherlock Holmes. Tropes ≠ copying.Falls first, she forgets, This is the classic unrequited slowburn trope. Used in Boys Over Flowers, Weightlifting Fairy, The King: Eternal Monarch before LR even existed. LR didn’t invent it.
Running hug reunion It’s melodrama 101. Descendants of the Sun, Goblin,Crash Landing on You all have iconic run and hug scenes. It’s a K-drama staple, not LR exclusive. Car smile, arm sling, boat kiss, Injuries, vehicles, and romantic settings exist in 90% of romance dramas. Lovely Runner doesn’t own the patent on boy wears sling or kiss near water. LR comparisons are just surface level. If ‘similar vibes’ is equal to copying, then LR copied every rom-com since 2000. LR doesn’t own rights to guy falls first or arm sling or boat kiss'😂 These are basic K/C-drama tropes used.... LR modern idol + time travel. If different genre + different stakes + different plot no originality then every drama ever is a copy. Try again.

I've seen a lot of posts here on ML's acting ability & role & this is what I think: The drama is primarily…
Well he can act really well..... We've seen him in his various projects.... He has been in this industry since decades .... He is not the 'eye candy' ..... He's doing according to his character....

If you become twice as famous, you still face six times as much humility and criticism.

Critics are usually coming from haters so I assume them as a noise

The backlash against Perfect Crown seems driven more by mismatched expectations than actual issues. Viewers expecting fast-paced drama and expressive characters won’t connect with a story built on restraint and internal conflict. That doesn’t make it poorly executed it just means it’s not catering to everyone.Overall, Perfect Crown continues to lean into its slow burn storytelling. Episodes 5 and 6 especially highlight the prince’s emotional restraint and inner conflict rather than dramatic outbursts. The pacing may feel quiet, but it’s intentional the drama focuses more on subtle expressions and gradual character development than instant payoff. It’s not for everyone, but for viewers who appreciate nuance it’s actually quite compelling. The hate around Perfect Crown feels more like noise than actual critique. People are judging it based on expectations it never promised to meet. It’s a slow-burn, character-driven story with a reserved male lead of course the emotions are subtle. Calling that “bad acting” just shows a misunderstanding of the role not a flaw in performance.

Wonder how the show hurt some people so much they decide to make a review after a couple of eps and rating it…
Well by the sinking shippers from their previous project

I heard the story was changed and re-written. And this is what they came up with? Just wondering, doesnt anyone…
I think calling this a “copy” of Princess Hours is a bit of a stretch. Princess Hours used a very classic trope royalty arranged marriage and a cold prince who slowly opens up. But those are not unique elements. They’re common storytelling devices that have been used in many dramas long before and after it. Perfect Crown may share a similar setup but similarity in tropes doesn’t equal copying. If that were the case almost every rom-com K-drama would be considered a copy of another. What actually matters is execution character development emotional depth pacing and how the story unfolds. Unless the scenes, character arcs, and narrative beats are directly replicated, it’s not fair to call it unoriginal or accuse it of “stealing ideas.” Also saying people are “blinded by idols” dismisses genuine viewers who simply enjoy the drama for what it is. People can recognize similarities and still appreciate a story’s unique elements. It’s okay not to like the drama but calling it a copy without stronger evidence feels more like an assumption than a fair critique.

It’s so frustrating to see many toxic LR shippers and IU haters repeatedly sabotaging the ratings with 1, 2…
I know right.... But let it be there are lots of shitty dramas with high MDL ratings.... This drama is buzzing all over the Ott platform and tv cable platform... That's speaks for itself... How long could they sabotage the ratings....
