Does anyone know when will everyone know that Fan Xian is indeed a prince?
Is he a prince though? Didn't they say in the first season that the emperor was with his mother, but not in an official way or something. It's very likely he doesn't held any statute. Again I know nothing of how prince title works in JOL historical era.
I want my cute bear daddy FeiJie back on screen!!! I've been missing him! It makes no sense that he didnt go straight away to FanXian when he came bak with how anxious he was about his survival!
The noise of all the birds sounds so irritating. I wonder why Eunuch Dai likes keeping caged birds so much.
"Bird-keeping was initiated by the elite Manchu banner men – the nobles of the Qing dynasty – and the eunuchs in the royal court. With sufficient monthly subsidies and a hereditary system that guaranteed the nobles the succession of their father’s title and land, the banner men had no need to work, and keeping birds was a way of passing the time. Thus the Chinese phrase describing the hobby, ti long jia niao (ti long means “carrying the bird cages”, and “jia niao” means “keeping birds on perches”), is often used to criticize idle men."
Probably JOL saying he is a lazy self-serving axxhole.
So im confused, who is male leads love interest? I thought it was Wan er but by some of these conversations it…
Have you only started watching from season 2? Because if it's the case, it will be all really confusing. The romance started from episode 2 of season 1.
I will say the biggest difference for me between the two seasons is how much charisma and acting skills Zhang Ruo Yun has acquired in the meantime, he literaly shines, you can not take your eyes off him, and so FanXian feels both old and new to me in this season!
He feels really like a "hero" now ?! I dont know if i'm clear, but I'm loving it!
when FanXian asked his Fan-dad 'one can fully trust one's family, right?'- was he implying the truth FanJian hides…
No, you can feel that FanXian has nothing but love and respect for his adoptive father, because although now he knows that they are not blood related, he was treated like he was his real son.
I really really love Jin Chen, but I'm having a hard time reconciling her with Ling Er. Probably because the actress portraying her in the first season left a very strong impact. But also because where Ling Er was brutal and in your face and a bit silly, Jin Chen didn't give even remotely this kind of characterization. She appeared meek and erased.
Probably JOL saying he is a lazy self-serving axxhole.

The only thing that bother me is the whitening filter/make up they have going on, their skintones are all offs.
So happy to discover their awesome dynamic this season !
