Even if its tropey, they really succeeded in making it work storyline wise, and the characterizations are done well, they also go through character development.

Oddly, I think the FL characterization is what makes this drama works, she is focused on her survival and well-being first XD without being heartless, a perfect recipe for both comedy and romances. If light comedy, sometimes slapstick comedy is not your thing, I dont think you're gonna love it.

I really hope to see the actor playing Wei Tian Jiao in much more production, he is a good actor and has a lot of charisma too!

Today's episode was wholesome! My favorite yet! Yan ChangYun and Xiao Qiang were adorable together, when YCY was not busy being jealous 😂😂😂

Today's episode just reinforced why I could never be mad at the empress. She is sincere in her love, she is not in cahot with her family to destroy the emperor, that has been made clear to us for a long time now. She wants the baby because she wants a family with the emperor, and be resassured in her statute as empress.

She is a collateral in a struggle for power.
