The female lead became wayyy too dumb too quickly, I couldnt even savour a badass FL for one episode? I'm glad…
Even if its tropey, they really succeeded in making it work storyline wise, and the characterizations are done well, they also go through character development.
Oddly, I think the FL characterization is what makes this drama works, she is focused on her survival and well-being first XD without being heartless, a perfect recipe for both comedy and romances. If light comedy, sometimes slapstick comedy is not your thing, I dont think you're gonna love it.
Flop is being overdramatic, it just didnt perform to the expectation of IQIYI and couldnt broke through much after 9000 index, and have been declining since then. Its IQIYI fault for overhyping it.
- Operating a drug ring that is destroying his people - poisoning people to force them to become assassins - building an army and wanting to dethrone the king to become king - killing his father - apparently even wanting to be romantically involved with his sister, the Empress, because she is not really his sister - purging dozens of political opponents and their families
The prince was wrong with the undressing issues but you can't completely blame him. The queen is following her…
Today's episode just reinforced why I could never be mad at the empress. She is sincere in her love, she is not in cahot with her family to destroy the emperor, that has been made clear to us for a long time now. She wants the baby because she wants a family with the emperor, and be resassured in her statute as empress.
All true but I just can't pinpoint the moment he actually started to have feelings for her. I guess he was kinda…
I think he felt affection for her before knowing her gender, that was displayed openly, and after discovering she is a woman, I think his feeling shifted, as attraction also became part of the equation.
I hated the prince in the latest episode, pathetically weak in front of the prime minister, but then go and shred into pieces the poor innocent girl that was ill-fated to be his queen! Weak with the strong, Violent with the weak! π‘π‘π‘

She is a collateral in a struggle for power.
- Loved that the FL just went and alsmot killed Yan ChangYun πππ
- Cant believe she just blurred out the whole plot to kill him XD But at least, its great that it's out of the way
- Very pleasantly surprised that Yan ChangYun admitted his feelings so quickly to himselfπ
