She actually has a work, is trying very hard to change her fate by taking the exam, tried to get rid of our demon lord X times, saved countless of fairies, tried to go back to her home to prove her innocence, she is not acting like a doormat to him even when she discovers who he really is although she is rightfully frightened, she has strong opinions and when impersonating our demon lord she even tried to do whatever was possible to protect her home and people, she came up with a strategy to try and get away definitely from Cangyan Sea, and i could go on like that for a long time. So naive? untried? yes. passive? Nope.
I see lot of discussion about him losing all his power if he feels again, thats not what he said. He said that he will lose total control over the fire, not that he cant use it anymore or that he will lose all of his other abilities. As much as I love him since he was fred from prison, lets not forget he’s allegedly a mass murderer, i would rather not have him back to being able to extinct an entire race and being gleeful about it. He will never become an angel even after he becomes more human, that will be just him but more feeling. Poor orchid deserves better than a man that want to destroy her home for no other good reason than he can. Character growth should go both ways.

In episode 10, its during his gift reveal^^ For his feelings, well he was under the heart curse and i think it took quite sometimes for him to develop feelings, i will say it really started when she put him in the boat to send him back.
As of now I had some short heartaches due to our orchid and demon lord who had their heart trempled, but nothing close to tear, but then again we’re in the lightest part of the story, we will see.
Its hilarious that everyone who watched one episode of the drama know who is behind Lord Haishi, but that no one has a clue about it in the drama after 14 episode 🤣
