Disappointing
It was good enough for me to finish watching but also disappointing. I had higher hopes for this one and kept watching because the premise was interesting, and I loved most of the cast. But the dumb romance plot was annoying and way too heavy and dramatic. The villian was interesting at first, but just like everything else in this drama, fell flat and dragged on for too long.Was this review helpful to you?

Beautifully done but...
Mixed feelings on this one. I absolutely love the work and attention to detail to make the actors playing these instruments look believable. As a former violin player myself, seeing poorly acted instrument playing is one of my pet peeves. I don't know that I've seen anything better in screen as an example of how to do this right. A lot of the music details written into the script made it .more of a nostalgic and immersive experience for me (with very few exceptions: like how they mention multiple times that bridge of a violin is very difficult to damage. And it kills me because there's a scene where the 2nd FL sets casually her violin facedown once --a HUGE no no. One of the first things drilled into your head as a violin player is NOT to do this because the bridge is super delicate and easy to break or knock out of place. But honestly, a few things wrong here or there didn't ruin this for meThe plot did. The pacing was ridiculously slow with to much drama and very little payout. The main conflicts are understandable but easily avoidable and over-emphasized. I also didn't feel much chemisty between any of the leads, except for thay extremely thorough and swoonworthy first kiss. While the attnetion to detail was amazing, I just didn't like how the story was told.
That being said, I can understand why some people loved it. I have never seen Park Eun Bin a role that she hasn't been spectacular in, this included. The cast was great. The music was beautiful, and some of the scenes themselves were works of art.
Overall, it's a beautiful peek into the world and struggles of performing arts, albeit a bit of yawner at times.

Cute but cliche
Cute, solid drama. Could have been cut down an episode or two and been fine. Fun cast, cute, funny, sweet, Idk if I'd rewatch because it's pretty cliche, but that's also one of the nice things about this one: it's a safe, familiar, comfort drama.Was this review helpful to you?

Not my favorite but not horrible
They tried to add too many plot twists to a short drama. It's not horrible, but it could have been a lot better. I did like that the FL was accepted by her new family in the first few episodes and that we didn't have to deal with the cliche of scheming, evil in-laws. But there wasn't much character growth. Just the leads reacting to events around them as they came.Was this review helpful to you?
Cute and different
Cute and different. Vibes a bit like Coffee Prince but with a smaller cast and no secret identity. I'm not a huge fan of love triangles, but the ending was good. I liked the slow, casual pace. I wish it was a bit longer so we'd have more character development, but there was quite a bit for how short it was.Was this review helpful to you?

Meh. Characters weren't particularly memorable. But I enjoyed the trust between partners as they made their plans come together. The drama could have ended perfectly fine at episode 60/88. Didn't need more.Also, who tightened that poor violin bow? It looks like it's about to break! Is it a violin now or are we converting it into a bow for archery?? (We're not evem gonna talk about his fake playing because that's pretty much something they always do badly on screen.) But they could have at least taped the right parts of his fingers for goodness sake!

Fun
Watched on iqiyi under the title "Rebirth: The Superpowered Wife." It was a fun time travel action drama with decent characters and some good humor mixed in. I especially loved the scene where she talks to the ML about smoking around her. A nice change from a the disgusting smoker scenes that are getting more prevalent in short C-dramas.Was this review helpful to you?

Not as good as I hoped.
I was hoping this would be better. Great opportunity to show some fun brother-sister bonds and for some comedy witha good ensemble cast. Instead, they overcompliated the plot and made it very overly dramatic. Sad because it's a great cast!Watched on iqiyi under the title "My Bigshot Brothers."

Fun and Adorable!
Absolutely adorable! The little girl in this is too cute and makes this short really fun. Good comedy, interesting plot. Not great cinema by any means, but definitely entertaining! And they actually used the child actor's voice instead of a cringy adult voice over. Makes a huge difference!Watched on iqiyi under the title "Mr. Gu, Your Child is Here."

Really good twists. I liked that neither lead was written as helpless and was at least somewhat capable and didn't have to be saved. The ML's age being only 19 did bother me. Too young, but they did do a good job writing him a more mature (most of the time). The plot was a but disjointed because of the abbreviated time frame. Even a few minutes longer could have done a lot to smooth that out.Watched on iqiyi under the title "A Season For Love."

Cute but too short. This would have made a really good full length series. I wish there could have been more plot development, but good for what it was, it was still good. Cute moments, tension and drama, comedy, romance, and a bit of action.Was this review helpful to you?
