Anon is possessive but I think he’s going to be supportive after awhile because he does love Anin and wants her to be happy. The younger brother Arnon talks about marriage more.
The show is set in 1952 so of course marriage pressure is there for both Anin and Pin. I fear that Princess Patt will force Pin into an engagement for reasons of her own. Anin will resist. We’ll see what happens.
Episode 4 is really good. Wan loves Pleng so very much. She even rides a bike to work ala Meg Ryan in the Angels movie. Pleng is a little dense but will catch on next episode.
I need to say that we’re all so used to series being 8-12 episodes so that so many stories feel so rushed, especially at the end. I appreciate the pace of this show. I know some are finding it dull but I love it. It’s art, well acted and beautifully shot. Thanks!😀
I am loving this show. It is so beautifully done. The girls have to graduate first before the marriage pressure begins. Anin will refuse I’m sure but Pin doesn’t have the same freedom. Aunty Pad is surely catching on to what’s going on I think. Why isn’t she married? And she wears a fairly large ring. Does she have a tragic romance in her past?
I just want to say how much I love period dramas and historical fiction. However, when it comes to gay historical stories they tend to be sad because of how much more difficult it was to be gay. I’ve seen plenty of really sad tragic dramas. I think The Loyal Pin will end happily, but we are in for a lot of pain before we get there. I’m just loving this show. It’s beautiful and well acted. I enjoyed Gap but Becky wasn’t the best actress. She is so good as Anin and has improved so much. Nam is outstanding too as Prik.
I am enjoying this series immensely. The pace is slower because there’s 16 episodes, but I don’t find it dull at all. The tennis games were fun, and that last scene was great. Becky and Freen really do have chemistry.
This is worth watching. It is beautiful looking and generally well acted. However I thought the plot was lacking and in all honesty dull. It dragged despite being 8 episodes.
