I have to say I’m enjoying this far more than I thought I would. The main characters - one young, immature, annoying. The other is cool, aloof, superior. But underneath all that there’s a profound connection of pain and aloneness that they’re both discovering, and that is quite well done.
Just watched the first episode. Overall I liked it. I would like to know how the 2’leads met. There is clearly an age gap but it’s also made clear that the connection isn’t romantic yet. There’s going to be a time jump, when the 2 meet again, I’m sure.
Ploy’s story remains very murky to me. She turned Gyo down because of her dad, but then changed her mind…I guess. And the whole bit about her being a spy and the gear and being suspended did not make sense. Also unsatisfactory is the incomplete story of Luktarn who seems to have gotten away with everything, except of course her plan of breaking up Gyo and Naow for good was foiled. Amnesia is a trope but I rather liked the final episode. You get the feeling that Gyo will not be taking Naow for granted anymore and Naow has learned how important honest communication is. Overall I can recommend this series.
I can’t really recommend this series at all., despite wanting more GL’s produced. This was a mess! Story, editing and acting were all over the place. This was just a money grab!
I really liked the last episode too. Yes it was rushed and I did groan a bit when Gyo gets amnesia-guess who she forgets! But, it worked. Most effective was her nagging sense of loss and Naow’s aloneness and the depth of her commitment. Despite the cone of silence about Naow that all the friends adhere to and don’t get me started on Pure, Gyo remembers. Quite romantic I thought. Would I have loved a couple more episodes with the mom and Tarn’s complete story, yes but I still really enjoyed it.
