I know that I'ma lone wolf, but but since many people have commented on Ben, his expressions, acting, etc., I have an observations. I watched an English language interview with Man and Ben, and when Ben is not playing Pat, his charm, wit and sweetness just comes pouring out. I also realized that Ben is a very good looking man. Man being a little older has a similar energy to Jeng, except smiles much more. Ben is a rookie, not a show kid, and this is his first job. I think that if Ben were playing a more sympathetic character, he would be better received. That's just my POV.
He lost the opportunity when he didn't go inside and talk to the mom. He could have found out what university he is studying at. Only a 6 hour flight too. Sigh!
I wish they had just stuck to the novel. I'm not sure what type of audience they are trying to attract, but the book does not have them separate over and over and over and over, in fact they become more in love than ever. I don't get it. Angst for the sake of angst for the teens I guess.
Tien deserves so much more than Lomfon, and he also honestly deserves a better brother too.
Every single person in that triangle only cares about themselves, their feelings, their validation. None of them looked out for Thian. Seeing him alone on the bench was very sad. He will forgive his brother, since Tai is not in charge of Lomfon.
I agree with you about Pat, but then again, Tai is the idiot who set this all in motion with his lying and ambivalent…
I'm 98% sure the original story was written by a female. The behavior of all the character smells like a teenage fantasy. Tai acts more like a teen girl, needing Pat to read his mind, and refusing to give him a direct answer. Since Tai is dumb, he runs the risk of bringing out psycho Patt if he keeps lying to him. I did not have these types of fantasies as a teen, so seeing these adults act like 13 year olds is annoying.
I was in Bangkok earlier this year and I ran into YouTubers who make BL content. I was walking back to my hotel when I saw them. This type of thing happens to me often, so I guess the friends in the park scenario seems plausible to me. The only problem is, it's always random. Like I did not see Zee or NuNew once while I was there. I didn't try to see them, but I would really like to see NuNew in real life. I know that I would be stunned to see Zee, but I think that I would turn into fluff for NuNew.

The only innocent is Thian. I felt really bad for him. IRL he would cut them all loose, except his brother, but the relationship would be damaged if Tai stated dating Lonfon.
Bangkok is a big city but if you stick around the area you live in, you may run into someone. I'm from a biggish city in Norcal, and I was home visiting, and ran into someone that I did not want to see, at a random store. She does not live in the area, but there she was. I saw my friend's boyfriend cheating on her at a gas station of all places. The woman was their neighbor, so I recognized her. I did not tell my friend because I knew that she would not believe me, and we would have argued. I told her after the cat was out of the bag, and told her that I kept silent because she would not have believed me, because she would have wanted to hang on to the relationship. She did not disagree with me. So these things do happen. I may have the Pat-friend juju.
I really like this little series. I know that some of the plot is dated, with arranged marriages, scheming in-laws and homophobic parents, but the organic story of two people falling in love is lovely to see.
I've never been with a cheater or he got away with it, so I don't understand how a cheating boyfriend will demand to be forgiven, and expect to be taken back, and to be so shameless about it. Worse the best friend begging and fully expecting to be forgiven. Best friend or sibling betrayal is even worse they a boyfriend betrayal.
What happened to this series? It was always a bit lazy, but it's degenerated into something written by a spoiled…
I agree with you about Pat, but then again, Tai is the idiot who set this all in motion with his lying and ambivalent feelings toward Lomfon. Tai accepted a date, he knew it was a date, he even thought about the fact that Lomfon likes him before accepting the date. Tai also continued to lie. He should have talked to Pat about how he was feeling before saying yest to Lomfon.
The only person without blame was Thian. Lomfon has some responsibility, but he was just going with his feelings, and like most men, pushing the boundary in pursuit of the person he cares about. The gatekeeper should have been Tai. So Tai is 100% responsible for this scenario, Pat is 100% responsible for his reaction. I think that Pat should just move on.
Yes the writing is very lazy. I never really liked Tai, which is hard because he is the protagonist, but this scenario shows that he is a very immature adult. Maybe it's hard to write dialogue where two adults, allegedly in love, would sit down and talk about confusion, the possibility of 2 soulmates, the discussion between Pat and Lomfon, and what it means to their relationship. Then each person can set a boundary, and trust that it will not get crossed. Maybe the author needs to do more character studies. The actors have the ability to go there, I'm not sure why they took the lazy way out.
I can't have a relationship with a liar and a cheat. If Pat was conflicted, he should have told Pat. I think that Pat was in the wrong for fighting, but some people lose it when they catch their partner in this type of situation. I heard my neighbor screaming over the phone at their partner for 2 days over infidelity. Tai knew that Lomfon had feelings for him, yet he agreed to go on a date with him. Let's be real, he knew it was a date when he accepted, which is why he lied. Just be honest.
I feel bad for Thian but there is no one to blame in his situation. He was not in a relationship with Lomfon, nor did he disclose his feelings.
Tai has not be a very likable protagonist throughout this series, but he took it to a new level. He is trying to be deep with Pat, when Pat is emotionally overwrought. I hate when people do that to me, I consider it a head game. Just tell him clearly Tai, or keep on with your romantic fantasies about what love should be. Pat should just let it end and be done. Do not fight, let Tai and Lomfon date, and be "deep" together.
I think that Check Out may have a successor to one of worst series. To suggest an open relationship to keep a man, is so pitiful. If both parties want it, that's up to them, but not as a ploy to keep a cheating partner. It hurt me to see it. If I were Patis and in an open relationship, the first thing I would do is go on a date, and make sure that I send photos to Thana of my time hanging out with the other person. Also, I would never have sex with him again without a condom, and would try not to have it at all, except to string him along while planning to leave. Personally, I'm not open relationship material, but would pretend so that I could get revenge until I could find a new place to live.
The one word spoilers for EP 6 by the cast at the live today:Aou - HOTTitle - BlushAye - Nail bitingKrist - Not…
If they are doing pre-episode interviews, I hope this means the series is totally blowing up in Thailand. I hope so because this deserve the recognition.
I'll be the killjoy, but they cut so much of the original story out for the 15 minute episodes, that I am disappointed in this series. They should have had 30-45 minute episodes to do the webtoon justice. The webtoon does not have graphic sex, and they do not make love (rated PG, no light sabers) until the very end, and there is very little skinship. So that wasn't the issue for butchering the story. Yechan spent too much time with the foreigner (John? I forgot his name), who was not Yechan's sole confidant, instead of with Yul. This is why I still have not watched Semantic Error. I am one of critics of Korea BL, and poor storytelling is one of the reasons why. The actors were suited for the roles, did the kissing scene properly too. It's too bad they didn't get to present the whole story.
The Thai title I think. Kawi means poem, Pisaeng means lightyear according to the person who translated the first chapter of the book, under "Recent Discussions."
