Part 2 was better than part one. The sun from Another Star was great. Beside the Sky was not good and Lately, It's Winter Season was okay. It is hard to rate this altogether because one series is bringing down my rating by a lot. I gave it a 6 out of 10 in total which is much better than my overall rating of Fourever You part 1.
In a sea of angsty bl series, this show is an easy, relaxing, comfortable watch. I like the show because the cast is easy on the eyes, it has made me laugh a few times, it is heartwarming at times and it does not make me have to think or try to figure out what the director is thinking, decipher symbolism or make me dread what might happen next or creep me out in any way. Sometimes, it is nice to kick back with a cup of coffee, put my feet up and chill with actors (Tay, New, Mond, Kapook) who feel like old friends and just enjoy a very cute series on a Saturday morning.
Keep your stupid opinions to yourself. And if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. And we know…
You need to go seek professional help for your anger management. Telling someone to "go away and die" for having a different opinion from yours is not rational behavior. I sincerely hope you get the therapy you desperately need and start to understand where your anger really is stemming from. Good luck to you, Rekha. I sincerely hope you get help soon.
As far as the leads go, Net carried this show. JJ needs to go back to acting school and learn to control his annoying facial expressions. I liked the second couple, the opium story line and a lot of the side characters, but JJ was miscast.
This series is definitely not a masterpiece or deserving of a 10. It was disappointing at best.
Jeez, I bet you are the person who forgives someone, but during the next argument you throw (what you have forgiven) back in their face. Maybe you should call yourself spitting-nonsense instead of spitting facts. Bye bye Felicia!
@spittingfacts53 - Mature people? It's rated 13+, not sure I know anyone who is mature at 13 years old. So what if someone thinks the show is a bit boring. Tell me again how that affects you personally? I actually agree with that person on it being a bit boring in parts because there were scenes that could have been a bit shorter and some that were out and out super-cringe. I rated it an 8 for my own reasons, mostly for Perth's performance and the costumes. I am unsure where your 'It's for mature people" comment is coming from. That is an odd and out of context thing to say to someone you do not know.
The wardrobe department deserves a lot of kudos for their design choices for the characters. They did an outstanding job! If anyone gave an outstanding performance in this series it was Perth. He shined throughout this series. Overall I gave it an 8. I would have given it a higher rating if they had more flashbacks of them in college and if the father had not been forgiven so fast and finding the note from his mother in a box was too quick of a fix for the Sun/Solar story line.
I'm new to Thai dramas. How are DMD and GMMTV different?
Thank you for the correction. Either way, all the shows I mentioned were bad. Just because a company has lots of money to spend on a production does not mean the show is going to be good and that was my point. GMMTV puts out a lot of good shows and not just BL's. I see not just this person but others who say GMMTV is not as good as it once was. I think those people are wrong. I like the couples and I like the shows.
There is a niche and comfort in the gmmtv shows knowing that they will have predictable happy endings. Sure I like angst in my shows too and China is doing a great job with those shows as is Taiwan as well.
Hallmark channel has it's following of fans that like those wholesome love stories and GMMTV fans are no different. Some of us do not need heavy NC scenes all the time or drama. drama, drama in all our series. It is nice to just kick back and watch familiar faces (couples) do their thing and give us happy endings and GMMTV provides those warm, sappy, sentimental comfort shows that are fun to watch (and not to forget to mention with gorgeous men) after a super angsty series.

GMMTV is awesome and DMD is good too, but remember DMD also gave us Battle of the writers, Middleman's Love, Cutie Pie, Naughty Babe, Sutiny and The Next Prince which all sucked! I think you need to take off your rose colored glasses when it comes to Domundi/Mandee and remember that both companies have given us some very entertaining bl's and some we could not even finish.
This show was entertaining until Episode 9 where they have a father run away twice and then he says "I have been holding onto these things from your mom for you." Why run if you have something to give your son (if you ever see him again) and then oh boy, lets find a key to a toy box that you just happen to bring along in the car and find a letter that exonerates both father and son from guilt and happy memories are all restored and then Sun/Solar says " I know you did everything for me and mom." Seriously, your father (abandoned you in a hospital) did nothing for you for years and you hugged the cowardly jerk.
It is getting ridiculous how many parents get a pass on these shows no matter how horrible they are.
This episode was very anti-climatic and disappointing.
To everyone mentioning (or wanting to mention) the obvious topic in the drama about grooming, or other things…
This is a classic example of a passive-aggressive comment. You allude to "the obsessive angered kid " in the comments, but never mention a name. Very cowardly not to address the person directly. You also address your comment in regards to the "obvious topic" of grooming to everyone who agrees with you. You are trying to stir up a group of folks and out to hang someone because they disagree with you and even go so far as saying this angry kid is projecting some sort of rage bait, but isn't that what you are doing with this comment?
Passive-aggressive comments are indirect expressions of hostility, resentment, or anger designed to avoid direct confrontation while undermining others. Like I said, your post is a classic example of just that.
it definitely has too many loose ends but the hype is .. the bar is really low nowadays ig..they did this…
I hope you are right about season 2, but I am not holding my breath. Too many times I have heard rumors about second seasons of shows that have never come to fruition.
Too, too funny and accurate!
