A bit more dramatic way of telling the same story.

As a fan of the manga and anime when I was young, I recommend watching this, even if it is just for the nostalgia. I enjoyed the summarized version of the story I used to love.

* The pacing doesn't feel too rushed even if they're leaving out lots of stuff out.

* Also, the main characters are well portrayed. I specially liked that the actor playing Yuu subtly let us know about his feelings, while the manga and anime were more Miki centered POV.

* The story feels a bit more dramatic and serious. I guess the movie has "grown up" along with the target audience from back then (me included hehe). You can still feel the same overall vibe, though.

* I also appreciated Meiko's story being adressed a bit and Ginta being Ginta :) Not bad that also some other characters made a cameo, but left me wanting a bit...

All that said, you don't need to watch the manga or the anime to appreciate this. It's a cute story worth spending 2 plus hours.

Entertaning cliche

- The ML is creepy AF in the first two episodes ( I almost dropped it because of that) but it gets better as the story progresses. In the scenes when the actor can act more naturally, I felt even intrigued by him.
- Something similar happens with the FL. Super cringey at first, then she becomes more relatable.
- The second lead gives me big Korean second lead vibes.
- The story is as predictable as it can be.
- The music is kind of non remarkable.

All in all, a simple and entertaining short series if you can get past the rough first episodes.

Too rushed

Watching this felt like watching a trailer for a really good upcoming drama.

I've watched plenty if short dramas and I know it's always a challenge to get the pacing right. In this case it was all over the place, and it was difficult to follow at first.

Certainly a pity, since the plot is promising, the actors do a great job and the overall vibe is really nice. It really feels like a missed oportunity

We'll see how they do if they get a second season as they hint at the end.
