Yeah the breakup happens for that exact reason. It's very frustrating. But it's cleared after 2 episodes-ish.

They talked their differences of needs and wants.
This is literally about 2 ep and it is resolved....both characters had a better understanding of each other....no one was mad at each other and they understood where they were coming from

Sml forced certain things on her, giving reasons she can't ignore
Chocolate- she can't reject that.
He gave gifts to everyone.
Lunch box- he used work as an excuse.
She was cleared to ML
Ml was never concern because he knew
FL doesn't have that much interactions with the guy...also she is firm and consistent on her feelings for ML
You can see how much she struggled with her abilities or what ahe felt is a lack there of it
Also what happened in her relationship....
These things are not easy
A person growth isn't linear....there is some up and down
But FL is pretty consistent and genuine in her interactions with other people.
You see that she sacrificed for her family
She is doing it again
It was handled well within 2 ep....it actually show how great the MC are...they seek to understand each other.....thiw made them better as a couple.
She shown her parents yes, she is good child, but it killed her...her parent's let it be....even before the reveal
8.9 just mean about 80+% of ppl enjoyed it
You will either vibe with it or you don't
Watch about 10 ep...if it doesn't click...drop it
I learn to give a drama at least 10 episodes
There was a "bigger" issue VR and real life
I feel you can see if you vibe better between 6-10 ep
We enjoyed it because we like how the character played out
So yes, it deserves it
At the end...it is a matter of opinions

You saying it doesn't deserve a high rating....doesn't change the fate that it gave at least 80% of the viewer ...enjoyment...
There will always be ppl who don't enjoy a drama
No biggy...that is why we have choices and drama

....loving a drama and giving it high ratings

Not liking a drama with high rating
Ect...no biggy...it either vibes with you or it doesn't
