The friend and the husband were so toxic and much much worse in the novel
In the novel. The friend and her drama took up way too much novel space. All they did was fight with each other, using each other, cheating , and then you see the friend continue on doing the same thing with a bunch of other guys

They probably want to keep the core issue of the characters but they didn't want to have that crazy toxic drama in there. It was extremely annoying. I just skim through them. Because it's way too much

I don't like what he did. But I understand why he did it. And I agree what he did and how he handle it wasn't…
This drama for sure is already leveled up. They're interaction is much deeper and more meaningful than the backdrop of the novel

The novel never explore the emotional depth and background between the main characters and their parents and how it affects them so much. We just get a little glimpse and it was never processed and there wasn't any growth in it

Later on you'll feel that way about the female lead and why she broke up with him

When I read the novel. I felt it both of them for their miscommunication and how they both help back and wasn't truly honest with each other. There's a period in time that she wasn't fully honest and she just had assumption. Then it was his turn.

Looking at that preview that seems to be the way they're going towards the ending episode. It will be her turn to move forward and turn to him

But for sure the drama is so much better

Emotions and feelings are complicated. I as a grown adult still struggle between telling it how it is or pausing for better timing. Etc etc. Because it's not just about what you say but you need to know who you're interacting with and the type of audience you have. It's hard

I don’t care what emotional crisis he’s in, what trauma he’s processing, or what mental state he claims…

i actually….agree! weird since SML isn’t exactly the most honest guy. but chemistry IS there.
I don't know what you're talking about? You seem to have a lot of biases blaming either the male character or female character. You have a lot of assumption about the character even though you didn't fully watch a certain scene. You said female lead is doing this and that but there's plenty of scene with her calling the second male lead out.

Nowhere in my comment mention the second male lead.

A lot of your comments seem to have biases. You have an issue with Chinese drama writing. I don't know why you're here watching a Chinese drama. Then you assume certain things from someone's comment and then talk about double standards etc etc when my comment had nothing to do with that. None of my comments really has anything to do about it. I could objectively watch a drama, hold whatever character accountable for their actions and I could also understand where the characters coming from.

This is a good actress and she has chemistry with everybody. She has chemistry with her co-worker, her friend, parents,...ect...

Yes.

It was a little awkward for him to be at the Press promo but I could see that he tried to incorporate him. She does too

also want to add there’s something to be said about a man who shows up and goes after what he wants. and right…
I don't feel bad for the second male lead. He is a grown adult. He can push back. He choose not to.

I can sympathize with them but I don't feel bad for any of the characters.

I also like characters who have certain struggle and create growth and development from that.

Female leads seem to communicate decently but in actuality that is not true. She struggle to truly go for what she wants and to be honest about it. Especially with her parents.

This is why I like how the main characters challenge each other and push each other out of their comfort zone to do better. To level up

I'm a sucker for growth and development. I know most people just want their characters to be perfect with everything, knows how to do everything, and do everything right,. That is so childish to me

I apologize in advance, I'm binge reading the novel and I just literally screenshot and save every other line…
I felt the novel had more misunderstanding and ambiguity

My coworkers help me put Band-Aids on all the time. Male and female. Mostly female.

He's got a fit body. Very charming leads. She still looks best with Neo imo
I am not able to pick who she looks best with. Cuz she looks good with all of them. But I will say that Nuo physique is not really working for me

I understand both main characters point of view and sometime things need to just progress a certain way.

She did all she can. Now the ball is in his court. Either he goes for it or he loses it. And that would be fair

I would say male lead has also been observant and attentive to her. Although he wasn't actively pursuing her because they were only developing feelings.

the second male lead his original intention is to trigger the male lead. In general as a businessman he's very intent and active in his research of things. Are female lead is an awesome person. So it's not far fetch for any guy to fall for her

Second male lead also doesn't have any type of mental block. Say if he's really really pursuing her and his dad is stopping him. Would he go against his father to do what he wants? His father has a lot of control over what he does and doesn't do. He doesn't seem to have the full autonomy in that aspect

I would probably not dislike the male lead if he wasn't so shady. The way he spies on them and does things backhandedly. Very greasy

I would have more respect for a protagonist that is in your face and not doing Shady things behind the other person back and being a bully

I was discussing this with a friend here, and he said: “No, this FL is different.”But I told him, I bet you…
From what I can see. The ml does not look pathetic. She works with a guy professionally and interact with him normally.

You could clearly see the difference between her interaction with the two male characters. It is different. Again in the recent preview you could see her try to communicate with him again for clarification of his feelings and wants

I'm not sure what episode you're in. But there's a preview that the female lead called out the second male lead about his problematic intention.

I understand both of the main characters point of view and I don't believe either one of them
