Yep, anything could happen, and it could be something totally insignificant, or it could be something major. They don’t know - at least, I hope so. It would be really bad if they knew and behaved like that, so I really think they have no idea. But that’s why I’m saying, I would go off of my kid’s reaction and get out of there, letting them figure it out later, without me - they are adults after all. If they make up and my child is happy with his friend, I would be fine with it, too.

Exactly! That invite really pissed me off. I was hoping they were just using a sucker who probably offended their son for a free ride (although I would never do it, but whatever). But they were treating him like their favorite relative all of a sudden. Based on what? His good looks? His gesture to drive them? That’s it? Their son’s opinion doesn’t count? Wow!
My only other theory is that they think their son is so petty that whatever he could be offended with is a complete nonsense and shouldn’t be taken into account. But that makes it only worse. So I will stick to them being oblivious and not paying attention to their child 🤦‍♀️
Again, I know it’s a series and moms are just there for a minute, but being a mom to a teenager makes me want to see someone relatable I guess. And here, I was so hoping to see not one, but two nice ladies, and they both were a bit… well… unrelatable (if that’s even a word 🤔)
Oh well… I do like the series, though, can’t wait for the rest of the episodes 🤩

I just want to say that moms’ behavior puzzled me a bit. Can’t they read their son? He was obviously trying to avoid his “friend”. Couldn’t they see it? If my kid gives a cold shoulder to her “friend”, I try to immediately withdraw from the situation. Like, oh, sorry, we are so busy, bye! I don’t even care about the reason, they can work it out later, but I would definitely avoid Top in this situation. I understand it’s a series and Top had to earn some points. Unfortunately, this move subtracted points from both moms for me. 🤷‍♀️

I don’t know - if I was Saifah, I would run to grandma, hand her the watch and asked her to just give me cash as payment for watering flowers. I would be very surprised if daddy was not trying to frame Saifah.

I don’t think he’s stalking. I think he’s worried about Yoh - he knows Yoh is a big kid and he feels like people can easily take advantage of him. And Yoh didn’t help any by being all shady about his new job and possibly not coming home overnight.
What really needs to happen here is simply talking to each other, but then we wouldn’t have the series, would we? 😉

Thank you 😊 I am sorry you had to grow up in this environment! I can’t imagine how hard it is for a child! I was lucky to have wonderful parents, and I can see my dad jokingly saying “yeah, yeah, don’t overwork yourself”, but it would never occur to me to be so uncomfortable in his presence - that’s why Kang’s body language was like a wake up call to me - so out of place and commanding my attention.
I also looked up Nong - the actor who plays daddy, and he is a seasoned actor who wouldn’t make a mistake like that. At least, I hope so 😊
So I agree - it makes sense for daddy to be the “dangerous” part of the title.
Well, let’s see. I will be definitely watching - I like all the actors here, and I only wish it wasn’t a high school scene. All the actors are old enough to be in the university, and it could bring more potential to the story I think. But, oh well… 😊

Remember, how Kang was sharing his daddy’s “wisdom” with Fah? Like, you have to assert yourself above others and punish them into submission or something along those lines? Yeah, that smells of shady business and like you said - people locked up in his basement - rather than poor single parent who doesn’t know what he’s doing. Also, the way Kang slouches and makes himself smaller in front of his dad, like he’s expecting to be hit - that’s not normal, and Perth is too good of an actor to do it “just because”.
So, for the sake of the story - I hope daddy is shady and he gets what he deserves in the end. Sorry, I don’t wish anything bad for the characters, but wouldn’t it be a huge waste of good actors to just be as simple as “I’m your best buddy” daddy? 😉

If the actor who plays Dad was going for a creep factor, he’s an amazing actor! I’m being serious, because as of now, we really don’t know much about daddy except he’s some kind of politician or something. It seems to me that he has some very shady business on a side and actually wants Kang to stay behind in his studies so that he has no option but take over that business. I guess, we’ll see 🧐

I appreciate both actors’ visuals, but Atsuki is just so tenderly beautiful! 😻With his type of beauty, it’s easy to look tender in one light, and sinful in another, and sometimes both at the same time. Great face for an actor, and as a good actor, he can use it to full potential! And I am here to watch his work! 🥰

True, as Zo grows up, he should understand what’s going on and speak up. For now, though, it’s not that simple. He misses a relationship with his mother, and it’s crucial for him to have her love him in any capacity, so he’s willing to go through those sessions even though they drain him. Yes, he likes debating, but you can see how his passion gets “turned off” with mom’s nitpicking. He still chooses to go through with it to just spend that time with mom, even though it’s not the quality time he needs. And she fails to see it. That’s her failure as a mother and as a teacher.
But bottom line - I agree with you - he has to speak up and I hope he will.
By the way, I really appreciated how Dunk showed this transition from excitement to a completely miserable dullness. 👏🏻

Here’s what I as a mother don’t understand. Her son came home from another city, and all she does is blabbering. At no time she attempts to simply hug him, talk to him about what he wants, what his experience in college is, about his daily activities, his friends, anything but his wins and successes. It feels to me, and I am sure to Zo as well, that Zo doesn’t exist to her outside of the debate club frame. That’s a problem.
Honestly, with her comments to her former students (“you always slept in my class, how are you successful now”) I feel like her students come to her pretty much to throw their success in her face - like they succeeded not because of her, but in spite of her. I might be wrong, of course, but I definitely didn’t like her little comments, including how her family drives her nuts. Just my opinion 😉
