For him Naksu with Mudeok's face and body died 3 years ago. So I can understand he is ready to use that girl to save himself from his sad fate. He is not falling in love with that Jin daughter.He is just curious about her.

Agree with that. No Love square or pentagon if you add the Seo uncle. Bu Yeon looking like Naksu not knowing she is Naksu should just stick at Jang Uk. After all she threw herself at him first.

I understand Master Lee asked her if she is willing to let the two souls inside and watch her daughter die or let Naksu prevail and user her energy to save the body who would now have the features of original Naksu. And she agreed. Something which is pretty weird. If the soul is dead her daughter is dead why she would rely on the body when the soul determines the origin and nature of the baby born from it (as per AoS)?

I can accept that the process leaves Naksu with Bu Yeon's blood and DNA (in a body looking like and harmonious with Naksu now) and some of her powers that Naksu can probably improve using her own former knowledge and skills but Bu Yeon ... her soul and energy are dead.

Then he has no reason to not recognize her...

Adding to this: Master Lee seemingly accepts this logic when he ask Mama Jin what she will do after she gets a grand daughter if she will get rid of the body? (Bu Yeon's body looking like Naksu with Naksu's soul inside). He a real master and he should keep track of what is happening in these situations.

Ohk... You are right. I forgot that scene. Maybe he is confused because the new Bu Yeon resemble Naksu the assassin but she is not exactly looking like her since it is not her original body but Bu Yeon's (Mu Deok's) petrified body made looking like orginal Naksu via her energy...

Yul remembers Naksu as a teen only. So he has a strange impression that she has something of someone he used to know. But nothing more so far. Poor guy is always one train late.

Did they (Mama Jin and Master Lee) just say they got rid of Bu Yeon's soul to allow Naksu'soul to survive while she is modifying Bu Yeon's body with her energy and that body would now look like original Naksu but with no original Naksu's memories and energy/powers?

And Mama Jin wants her to have a baby because it is Bu Yeon's blood and DNA but with Naksu's face?

This is in contradiction with Jang Uk being born with the blood of Jang Kang and his DNA but with the energy or the King who was soul shifted in Jang Kang's body at that time. So if Naksu's soul in Bu Yeon's body now looking like original Naksu has a kid, it would mean Naksu's energy and powers are transferred. Not Bu Yeon's ones. Is Mama Jin deluded?

Anyway I really like this Bu Yeon who gives vibes of Mudeok and I like her chemistry with Jang Uk.

Hard to understand important things without watching season 1.

Agree the new her does not have the same confidence, scheming abilities, teacher's experience obviously, but she does have the same tastes, way of speaking, boldness ...

I do not share the idea that the AoS allows souls to merge. If the soul in that Bu Yeon's body is Naksu, the child she will have will be born with Naksu's energy like Jang Uk was born with the nergy of the King. The powers of Bu Yeon can be passed to the grandchild only if the soul inside is Bu Yeon.

So if Mama Jin is so sure it is Naksu and not her first daughter's soul, she would not use her as a brood mare. Somewhere she feels confident that the soul inside is or will be her daughter's one. Unless she intends to have Naksu's child and use that child but this would be farfetched.

I also hope the Hong sisters do not make it overly and uselessly complicated.

Yes but she is so obsessed with her first daughter she would help Jin Mu if he gets rid of the soul of Naksu and let Bu Yeong take over. That's speculation. Probably it will take a different direction. Hope we will be surprised.
