The writers fcked up the final. They did great making the viewers speculate about many things and invest themselves in the story but when the final truth arrived, it failed the expectations. It was not bad but it was not great. It should have been great. It would have been if they took time to better manage the consistency of the villain throughtout time. Still it has a lot of qualities and it is one of my favourite kdrama.

I liked the korean version a lot. This one is quite different. It shows more technology and has more cuteness and fun compared to the korean version which is more realistic and endearing to me. Will also give it a chance.

After 2 eps I have to say it is a very fun watch. I regret the ML and some characters look too young. I guess it is a choice to make it look cute.

They portray two different kind of magicians. They are both doing a good job at it since these two magicians are both endearing in their own style. I liked the kind but also black disturbing sides of the magician portrayed by JCW. Here I like the funny but skilled magician.

The drama is more focused on the action, crime, thriller and fantasy part. It is not really about romance so far.

She is more stupid than evil. So maybe she can redeem herself if she turns against her mother.

I agree with you the way she says it is confusing. She says it is common. Not legal, But it creates a cliché and a false belief that "northern europe" legalizes surrogacy.

Technically, in Europe, even if many countries make surrogacy illegal, they do not (because they cannot) forbid the use of surrogate mothers either domestically or abroad in a country where surrogacy is legal. Countries like France or Sweden have legal means for people to use a surrogate mother abroad and the child can be legally recognized by the local "intended" parents.

There is the law and there is the reality. This is why it is such a controversial matter.
