It's nothing to do with black face. She is portraying the opposite of what is a local beauty standard. She is…
Lol. Superman's transformation was so not credible this is why I don't think Dao's one in Koo Kaen Saen Rak is credible too. You need a psychological gymnastic to admit it it true she is unrecognizable but by the little kid.
Faidam would be cute if not for her exaggerated facial expressions and for that huge mole which break the harmony of her face. I also hope ML will like her and her personality before he knows the truth about her identity. He would then be in deep trouble because the real her is nothing like the her in disguise.
It's okay there is no way for everyone to like one drama, opinions are so diverse :) I think what people mean…
The genre itself is kind of special. It is no family drama ot teens drama to call for the biggest audience. Maybe it was too special for most korean viewers. I really enjoyed it and loved all the characters even the villain.
well, i watched this drama because of Suzy Bae ofc, from the start i really don't get it, because business tag…
I liked the ending with the sequence-shot of their desk with the pictures showing how things turned for them. It was a nice way to bring closure to the drama by saying "this is what happened" and surely they will have other happy moments to immortalize in pictures.
The story is good considering the many characters and their evolution other the span of time. They find love, friends, appeasement, success, peace, rekindle their family ties... Han Ji Pyeong was in the wrong chair all the time and because he did not budge from it he had the ending he deserved.
I honestly find people who rate this drama low because their ship wasn't endgame so petty. Like are they seriously…
After it ended airing, this drama was subject to a lot of hate ratings. But overall I think 8.1 is good if you compare to the other kdrama from 2020. These people you mentionned are people who immersed themselves too much in their second male lead syndrome and cumulated rage and frustration until the end so they needed to blow off some steam.
It's ok. It is not really of consequence on the overall rating, the actors or the people who made this drama. It is now confirmed as one of the good drama of 2020 by most media outlets and ranking webtsibe or youtube channels specialized in kdramas.
30 mins in, nooope, i cant. I dont want to hate NJH ??
You are obviously biased because you fell in love with that kid orphan HJP. I recommend you to not watch this. Life is too short to hurt yourself over a simple drama.
Keep cool. This has nothing to do with black face.
Sad for you Faidam is not ugly, dumb or the butt of the joke. Her friend the maid and her ugly teeth is. But she is not tanned so you would not notice.
After wrongly calling this blackface you want to take a stance about colorism but sadly for you Faidam is not portrayed as a stupid dumb person. She is mischievous and impertinent but it shows she is actually smart and has a keen mind. Truth is she is bright and endearing and funny. This is why the male lead is concerned about her more than about his fiancé that he barely noticed after unknowingly meeting her.
You can stop your hysterical stance. There is no blackface and no colorism here as Faidam's personality and portrayal is not even bad on the contrary and it has nothing to do with the tone of her skin color. You fake SJW can take your misplaced crusade elsewhere. You are a liability for the ones who really fight for people suffering for discrimination because of the color of their skin.
Faidam is the ray of light of this drama. Without her it is barely watchable.
How was that drama?? I mean the story, was it like king louis?
To be honest, Shopping King Louie, I fast forwarded the drama at some stage. I don't know why but I don't have any good memories of it now. As for Forget you Remember Love, it started quite well but the several far fetched twists and situations made it kind of ridiculous and not realistic for me. Dramas with memory lost are very tricky because it is a trope that you have to deal in a smart way so audience won't think it is too easy and not plausible or it is too much. I hope this drama will do well with this challenge.
It's silly but the chemistry between the doctor Param and Faidam is good for me. I think they have very compatible personalities. The true version of Dao looks a little bit bland. I would like to see Dao acting mischievous when she is herself and not Faidam.
It's nothing to do with black face. She is portraying the opposite of what is a local beauty standard. She is…
In Koo Kaen Saen Rak the change is not even credible. Just because she has cleaned her face and removed her huge mole she is unrecognizable? I can see it is always Mookda. The male lead's family can't recognize her just because they are silly people.
In this drama, FL's disguise is more credible. If she uses prosthetics on her nose to make it bigger or she mimics an old granny or a hunchback, or a limping person, there will surely be some fake SJW to call it a degrading portrayal and a mockery of people with prominent nose, old people or hunchbacks or disabled people.
So far (ep2 for me), the FL's disguise is just so good it is like two different persons/personalities and the tanned girl is more cheerful and fun than the girl with fair complexion. I am wondering if the Male lead will like the tanned girl first since he doesn't like girl he met at the airport.
Keep cool. This has nothing to do with black face.
You are trying to portray things into what they are not. This has nothing to do with blackface. You were wrong. Just acknowledge it.
Also this is not a mockery of anyone. The character Faidam is not made so that the audience would mock at tanned people thought her because she is ridiculous. She is just a funny a bit goofy tanned girl with a caustic humor. She is very likable and fun.
And please stop insulting people when you are the one who is wrong.
Keep cool. This has nothing to do with black face.
As a woman of color do you even know what blackface is? I give you a definition :
"Blackface is a form of theatrical makeup used predominantly by non-black performers to portray a caricature of a black person".
So? Is the actress Namfah Thunyaphat Phatrathinchaicherin trying to portray a caricature of a black person? Do you think that the character Faidam is a black person? Is she a caricature of a black person? No she is not. She is a tanned asian woman looking ugly with her weird haircut and misplaced huge mole. Nothing more.
So no it has nothing to do with blackface.
Wanna know what blackface is? Google Antoine Griezmann blackface. The guy is a famous soccer player for France and World Champion. He posted a pic of himself in black colored skin and an afro hairstyle wig and a costume of NBA black player. That's blackface. That's a caricature of a black person. It created outrage and he had to delete his post and apologize.
I prefer happy endings but I don't mind unhappy endings as long as it is logical and add to the intensity and depth of the story. Some drama have disappointing endings but it does not spoil the whole drama so it is also fine. I just don't like outrageous (Goodbye my princess, Sword Dynasty...) or nonsensical endings (TKEM).
HJP was a second male lead written with the attributes of a male lead : a typical tsundere, successful self made…
I agree accusing Yong San's brother of fraud when he was just presenting a business plan was excessive and a professional mistake. He could have said the guy did not know about his subject and about the evolution of batteries technology but fraud? There is no thief if there was not theft.
Almost anything can happen in drama so maybe the writer could have reversed the situation. I know there are some fan fictions on Internet to give Han Ji Pyeong a happy ending but I am not interested. He derserved the ending he was given. The guy never understood the meaning of all the kindness given to him.
Seo Jun was more endearing for me because he had a whole world around him (mother, sister, friends, FL, enemies, past issues to deal with... ) and his one sided crush looked quite realistic too, how he was friendzoned with no chance to escape from it. But I still don't ship him with the FL.
Start-up: lol, JP is a bag of shit since beggining of the drama.Actually : it is why he is my favorite character,…
HJP was a second male lead written with the attributes of a male lead : a typical tsundere, successful self made man who has a fake "fated" relationship with a girl he falls in love with later. But he never develops, never becomes a warm person or approachable and sympathetic to people and never wins the girl.
NDS was a first male lead written with the attributes of a second male lead : a typical second to arrive on the scene, a bit bland, not assertive guy with plenty of issues and not likely to fare well but the girl liked him and they find success together.
The writer was clear about what she wanted to do but she pushed the confusion too far in ep1 and misled a huge part of the audience. Anyone who fell in Love with kid orphan HJP was doomed to be disappointed. Lucky me I found he was full of flaws (not shit, lol ) from the very beginning.
They most definitely could've paired 1st FL, Song Hye Kyo, 39, with 2nd ML, Kim Joo Heon, 41, I've only seen him…
I have seen him in Start up, Dodosol, IOTNBO. He is a good actor and I enjoy watching him but for me, he is no ML material. I am not a fan of noona romances but still I'll give this a chance as I've always liked the two lead actors.
Faidam would be cute if not for her exaggerated facial expressions and for that huge mole which break the harmony of her face. I also hope ML will like her and her personality before he knows the truth about her identity. He would then be in deep trouble because the real her is nothing like the her in disguise.

Agree OST was really good.
