Regardless of whether you like DS or JP more, the writer never set JP up. Episode 1: cherry blossom petal flies…
The argument about the change of endgame is an attack in disguise against the writer's integrity and her ability to have a strong vision of the story she wants to tell. But ok. Better this than death threats...
There was no change of endame. From the beginning when Grandma and Ji Pyeong hand picked Do San's name and background for the letters, endgame was already decided.
in which episode does dalmi learns that (hjp+halmoni ) are nam dosan?
It is obvious what many people thought these letters were love letters and that they were super important for Dal Mi and Ji Pyeong and that Do San's was rivaled by Ji Pyeong but in fact his true rival was fake NDS and the Letters. Ji Pyeong was just a roadblock. Yes, these people have not understood the letters at all. This is why they are so frustrated about this drama.
in which episode does dalmi learns that (hjp+halmoni ) are nam dosan?
It's your own point of view and you are entitled to it.
Do San never needed Ji Pyeong. It is Ji Pyeong who played busybody. After Do San was back in South Korea, it was obvious that he still loved Dal Mi and she also still loved him. Ji Pyeong bulffed Do San and made him think she had a change of heart but it was in vain.
Do San and Dal Mi met again and they started to work together again and it was clear that she was not in a relationship and certainly not in couple with Ji Pyeong. Sooner or Later, their mutual feelings would have brought them together. Ji Pyeong just decided to stop being a roadblock and to let them have their happiness.
in which episode does dalmi learns that (hjp+halmoni ) are nam dosan?
Dal Mi's understanding and her position regarding the letters are different from Do San's understanding and position. For Dal Mi they did not really matter in her life and they did not stop her from falling for Do San. After she did and after she broke up with him, it was irrelevant and useless for her to discuss them with Ji Pyeong or Grandma.
For Do San they mattered because from the beginning he thought they are his challenge on his path win Dal Mi's heart. This is why he was disappointed when she referred to them when she gave him two reasons why she liked him. He wanted Dal Mi to see him beyond them. He crumbled when she said she wanted to break up because he is not Do San from the letters. This is why he almost believed Ji Pyeong (who wrote the letters) won Dal Mi' s heart when he was away to the USA after Ji Pyeong insinuated she had a change of heart. This is why he thought she forgot about him so easily when it took him 3 years to try and he still did not manage to forget about her.
The letters were always his biggest threat and adversary until the moment Ji Pyeong told him to stop being dull witted and look at Dal Mi with different eyes. Then he went to ask Dal Mi again and she gave him an answer which cleared his fear and his misunderstanding. She liked him because it is him and the letters doesn't count for anything.
So many people misjudged the role of these letters and their impact on Dal Mi, Do San and Ji Pyeong...
in which episode does dalmi learns that (hjp+halmoni ) are nam dosan?
In Episode 10. When Ji Pyeong told Dal Mi that he wrote the letters as a favor to Grandma she knew two things:
1: Do San, her pen friend from the letters never existed. That 12 years old boy, math genius from a well off family who wrote to her so many comforting words never existed. It was the writing of an older guy who is nowhere close to the Do San she always knew and that she thought she met again in this Do San she is in Love with already.
2: Grandma asked a favor from this Han Ji Pyeong (God knows how they knew each other) to write to her letters and pretend to be a penfriend named Nam Do San. Grandma also brought to her his first letter saying she received it directly from that Nam Do San's hand. So she lied and she was in cahoots with this liar writer.
Dal Mi learns that the Do San she loves is not Do San from the Letters. She learns that Do San from the Letters never existed. That was enough for her to decide to bury these letters and the Nam Do San of the Letters. Never in her life she will ask about them anymore. Well done Dal Mi!
Only the people who understood nothing about this drama are still asking... What about the letters?... That's a plot hole!... lol.
I am also waiting for this one since tra barb se chompoo... I liked the chemistry b/w the leads...
For me chemistry is made by a good writing regarding the way the leads interact. If it is smart, fun, surprising and has enough depth to present a complex situation, I don't mind that they argue or are bickering or even is one is too overbearing at times. I just finished My Forever Sunshine and the two leads were like that but I found it justifiable and acceptable.
I just don't like when one is doing too much (physical abuse for example... ) with no justifiable reason or when the guy hurts the girl in order to control her to show that he cares about her. It is not the kind of character I like, these people who hurt others but in reality they like them too much. I am afraid this one is like that.
I also watch Run On. Two eps is too soon to judge for me but it is a good start. I plan to watch lovestruck in the city too. I am glad the first feedbacks are good. I will not watch Mr Queen. I can't make my mind accept the principle of a man living the experiences of a woman. It can trigger a lot of funny and interesting things but I guess I am not in the mood for that now. True Beauty is silly but enjoyable if there is nothing else...

Wow your comment is not really helping me decide to start it ;) It is ok, impossible to watch everything anyway. There are many drama starting to air now also... I'll just wait for this one.
I am also waiting for this one since tra barb se chompoo... I liked the chemistry b/w the leads...
I do not know the male lead but I liked the lead actress in Kleun Cheewit and especially in Khun Mae Suam Roy where she had to portray two very different twins. I have not watched Tra barb se chompoo. Maybe because the rating scared me and I could not find a good reason in the reviews to start it. But surely I will try this one.
At Age 12 Dal Mi was a young teen who had little to worry about. She just spent time playing or arguing with her…
I agree on the principle your stand for but in life, you have to choose wisely as principles do not always give the best outcome. Maybe it is a matter of culture. For the rest, It's ok. No harm done.
At Age 12 Dal Mi was a young teen who had little to worry about. She just spent time playing or arguing with her…
Everything is triggered because In Jae came back. Dal Mi initially put away Do San from the letters like the music box she did not want to open. She did not want her fantasy to be spoiled. She wanted to keep him as the souvenir of a great pen friend and the fantasy of a great first love. She decided to find him not because she wanted to know about him and his life or because she was missing him but because she wanted to use him to help her bluff her sister. But still... she fell in love with him.
She compared the writings because something was fishy and she wanted to know. It is not because she cared about Ji Pyeong.
Regarding Sa Ha, she learnt that Han Ji Pyeong their mentor confessed to Dal Mi so she tried to force down Dal Mi's throat the narrative that she could hesitate between their Majority shareholder (Do San) and their Mentor (Ji Pyeong) but if you pay a real attention to what Dal Mi said, she said "I can't figure out (...) who has my heart". It does not mean she is hesitating between two options. It just means she doesn't know anymore. She just acknowledges she is confused and after they win Demo day the confusion is gone: it is Do San, the one she kisses via her fingers.
I also think the writing made mistakes and confused people and made things draggy. But story wise, I thought it was coherent if people don't make assumptions at the beginning.
At Age 12 Dal Mi was a young teen who had little to worry about. She just spent time playing or arguing with her…
Did you know that regarding couples, 70% of men and women lie to their partner? Did you know almost 50 % of women lie to their man about their performance in bed? Did you know 50% of the recruiters find lies in 50% of the resumes they receive? Did you know scientists proved that in usual conditions of life people lie 2 or 3 times within 10 minutes when they are under pressure? Do you know how many lies a person tells in a day?
So are you going to confront and have an open conversation with each person who lied to find the truth? I am going to let know something Dal Mi knows that obviously you don't.
It comes down to one thing: Is it relevant? for your life and for the life of the people you love?
If a young woman is an orphan and her adoptive parents always said she was their biological child but she discovers it is not true, then she will want to know. Because it is relevant. She could not breathe, eat, work, live properly without knowing. For her and for her husband and kids or just her friends who would suffer to see her in this condition...
If a young woman like Dal Mi had a pen friend 15 years ago at age 12 who comforted her for a year and then disappeared... 15 years later she learnt he was fake and the letters were fake. What the use to know? Why would it be relevant for her life to know? For Dal Mi it was not.
The day Ji Pyeong told her, she just worried about Do San and if this situation impaired their feelings for each other. This was the important thing and the priority for her. During 3 years she never asked Ji Pyeong because she did not care about it. She did not care to take the letters to go check with him each sentences which one was truth and which one was lie. Doing this was irrelevant for her life. She did not give a damn about it and rightly so. It would not change her life, her love, her heart, her job... nothing. So... forget it.
Why would she go confront her Grandma? Like if it would make her life and Grandma's life better? She knew the good side of Grandma and the bad side of Grandma. Grandma lied to her but Grandma raised her for 15 years, fed her, clothed her, loved her, allowed her the chance to be the one she is now. Why go confront her like she would put her on trial for something unworthy of it? What was important and a priority for her was to keep Grandma happy and smiling and free from useless headache.
In the end, this is called maturity. A concept you might embrace with difficulty considering the way you write to people... But It is ok. I am glad to help and to let you know.
Have you ever been in a relationship with someone that you were attracted to for a long time and you don’t know…
At Age 12 Dal Mi was a young teen who had little to worry about. She just spent time playing or arguing with her sister. After the divorce of her parents, she had to grow faster and here came the letters to comfort her and help her. One year later, the letters stopped. She never had any other pen friend to write to and make her reflect on her life.
15 years later, she is 27. Not the same person anymore of course. She went through hardships and experiences of life which made her a person down to earth and practical and ready to fight hard to obtain a result she expects. The pen friend she had once, she only uses his "features" as a standard for her love life but she is always ready to go on dates and try to find Love.
Why his big hands? Because she was physically attracted to him first. Why because it was him? Because she could only quote Michel de Montaigne in his Complete essays: “If I am pressed to say why I loved him, I feel it can only be explained by replying: 'Because it was he; because it was me.” Of course she would marry him. Do San is the man of her life.
The thing you are missing is that Dal Mi put away the letters and her 12 years old pen friend Nam Do San in a corner of her memory and she would have left them there if her sister did not come back to South Korea.
When Ji Pyeong said to her he wrote the letters and revealed to her the letters and their writer 12 years old Nam Do San were fake, she just decided to forget about them. She never asked about them anymore. Not even to Grandma who was supposed to have received the first letter from the very hand of Nam Do San. Grandma lied to her. But she never confronted Grandma about it and the letters. Why? because Dal Mi is a smart girl who can admit what is important and what is priority in her life.
For me ML is not very credible between his statut of genius and the difficulties he is in. He does questionable…
Yes I agree being a genius does not prevent people from making mistakes but I found he accumulated too many of them in his way to communicate with FL, hiding things to her, hijacking the birthday party prepared for her, riding with his so called "girl friend"... Hope he does better in the following eps.
For me ML is not very credible between his statut of genius and the difficulties he is in. He does questionable…
I can accept that they decided to have a fair competition. Not to try to win her like a trophy but to let the other guy do his moves without obstructing and to let the girl show who she likes.
I did not mind them competing like kids at the gym but what really bothered me is when the ML hijacked the party prepared by the SML. SML threw a party for her and did not invite the ML Fair enough. Why it made the ML insecured to the point he had to hack the video system of the city and spoil the party. It was so inconsistent with the confidence he showed previously.
The SML surely spent tens of thousdands of Yuan for the party. I thought it was a poor way to suggest that sincerity wins over money. I will keep watching a few more eps if it gets better and if not...
first 6 episodes were super good, but now I'm watching ep.10 and gonna dropML from cool hot guy turned to ordinary…
For me ML is not very credible between his statut of genius and the difficulties he is in. He does questionable things without properly communicating so he has to apologize too often. Also I do not like how he is doing in his rivalry with the other guy. I will give it one last chance this week.
