I honestly don't get the negativity around who Dal Mi ended up with. Do San was perfect match for her, they work…
Do San and Dal Mi were fated to become a couple when Grandma and Ji Pyeong brought them together "in name" in the letters. They both grew into two very compatible persons. They love, support, inspire each other. One the reason why the other can do his/her best.

Ji Pyeong was never more then a mentor for her. And not a good one. He let his personal feelings mess with his professional duties and made things complicated for her. But she is good natured and dealt with it. Ji Pyong's personality is not compatible with hers and she knows it from the time he was mentoring her. He was nice to her but he was cold, rude, haughty, arrogant and mean to her people of SST. He is not even nice to Grandma. Means he is no good for her. A smart woman like her can see that. Also they both are leaders and care about tasks and achievements. They would clash indeed.

For us the drama has ended airing. The endgame is revealed and there is no need to keep being frustrated about it. But some can't deal with that. Hence the negativity here around Dal Mi ending with Do San but it is better to just ignore it.

Han Ji Pyeong did not figure out how to give back to Grandma. It took Grandma to travel half blind to his place…
Why do you say Do San did not start his journey? He was a nerd hiding from his parents as his company SST was going to bankruptcy. Then he met Dal Mi, won Coda, entered Sandbox, found a girlfriend, created NoonGil, won Demo Day, broke up, upgraded NoonGil, went to the Silicon valley, became top employee, entered CheongMyeong as employee and shareholder, rekindled his relationship with his ex, made Tarzan a success and welcomed an investor to Make CheongMyeong go to the next level... Where did he not start his journey?

HJP didn't deserve a happy ending at the end because he waited until the very last episode to understand that kindness is not given to you to repay. It is given to you to repass the kindness. He was never a good boy. He started to be a real good boy in ep16 only. When he knew with his competences that SH Venture Capital would never invest in Mr Hong's project for orphans so he decided to invest his own money and take the risk himself. A total change from the beginning when he would not risk not his money but just his success rate for a company (SST) he thought would not make it to success. This is the real first step of his change and his happiness can only come after that.

I really don’t understand the low rating, for me it was a strong 9 and I’m really hard to please when it comes…
People should not trust the rating because this drama is clearly victim of hate ratings and hate comments . It had a good and constant rating in South Korea during its airing time and it is doing well on Netflix. As the end of year is closing, Websites and media outlets start to give their ranking and Start up is already mentionned among the best kdrama of 2020. Haters gonna hate but who cares about them. This drama is a good one.

So funny, if you press the "Best Second Lead" tag, only Start-Up appears XD Haven't watched it yet and I'm kinda…
LOL. For me he is one of the best written second male lead character (point of view of viewer) but his actions as second male lead person (storywise) are terrible.

Don't be scared. If you don't fall victim of Second Lead syndrome, this drama is a good one to watch.

Do San and Dal Mi are a match made in heaven. Ji Pyeong ... like I said it often ... Destiny played an ugly trick on him in addition to his sad backstory.

Do San is a people oriented person. People, especially the ones close to him, they are the ones who motivate him and make him give his best. He does not do things for money or for himself. Sometimes it is too much and it makes him looks like a bland person. But over the years he doesn't change that side of him and in the end, looking at his successes nobody can tell him he was wrong.

Han Ji Pyeong did not figure out how to give back to Grandma. It took Grandma to travel half blind to his place where in never invited her during all these years. She told him he should stop thinking about repaying her kindness and start giving kindness to others more in need than her. This is why I think Ji Pyeong does not have his own happiness at the end of the drama. He is still at the beginning of his own journey as the new him.

Rewatching the scene of Go stop after the incident of the wish, I noticed Ji Pyeong looked jealous of Do San.…
I am surely not in a position to predict a future for Do San and Dal Mi based on what we see in the drama. But their story has been forged by destiny and they did look very natural together. I think they are two very complementary personalities as Dosan is a caring and warm person and Dal Mi is a down to earth and career oriented person. They complete each other well.

Ji Pyeong noticed Dal Mi's qualities and developed feelings for her but he was very clumsy the way he handled them knowing that Dal Mi was never interested in him as a man. He had rude and unprofessional behaviors for almost the whole time. I saw no progression in his extreme to the grotesque tsundere character and only in the last episode he becomes better, more approachable, more considerate and sympathetic with others.

On the contrary I found Do San development was better. It was not sudden. He started a nerd and stucked with SST close to collapse. But his skills made them win CODA, then enter SandBox with the help of nobody. He had the chance to prove himself and he did it by creating NoonGil which will become a huge success. Then they won Demo Day with him assuming the technical leadership. Their lack of experience and knowledge allowed Alex to take advantage of the situation but it was a blessing in disguise for him. It gave him 3 years in the Silicon Valley to become stronger and more assertive regarding his choices. Of course it is not a complete twist of personality. Just a normal and credible improvement and his new experience and competences allowed them to find success with Tarzan and CheongMyeong. A long but instructive and developing journey for him.

I can't predict their future but the last images showed it looked promising.

Rewatching the scene of Go stop after the incident of the wish, I noticed Ji Pyeong looked jealous of Do San. Also at a certain moment of the game, he must give a card to Do San. He pretends to throw the card towards him but in last second he throws it backwards and Do San has to crawl to get the card and Ji Pyeong tells him "do you like eating crumbs?" Something totally mean and inappropriate at that moment. Do San could only reply with something down to earth: "I'm not eating this. it's plastic". Lucky for him, the other guys laughed. Not Ji Pyong. Of course.

I guess that was another kind of beginning.

That's my opinion only of course and I respect every other opinion.

On my second viewing of this show and I just finished ep 3. Ji-Pyeong never liked Do-San and hasn't cared about…
Ji Pyeong's interest for Dal Mi starts to develop when they play Go Stop and they ask how playing Go stop on a birthday can be a wish? Dal Mi tries to defend Do San and says because for some people it is ordinary but for some others who never did it, it can be extraordinary. She said this looking at Do San asking his approval but it is Ji Pyeong who answered!

Ji Pyeong copied the wish from the TV, 15 years ago and took her defence and her nice words for himself. He suddenly thought that pretty young woman was caring for him. His interest was born from there... from a misunderstanding because he thought she was speaking for him, an orphan who could relate to what she said. Dal Mi did not know he was an orphan. She just replied "oh really"?

Ji Pyeong looked at her differently after that.

That's my opinion only of course and I respect every other opinion.

is it worth watching yall?
Yes it is worth watching. There are many interesting characters and they are endearing all along their development. If you put yourself in the shoes of each one of them and you look at who they are deep inside, what they do and the consequences of what they do on the other characters, you will find this drama enjoyable.

I also suggest you to binge watch it with nothing to influence your own judgement. If you like it you can go to the end of it and if you don't, you can just drop it. For me it is a good drama.

Ep 33 . Things are so draggy now and the 4 leads are more and more annoying. Even Ming Zhe becomes annoying with all his lies and schemes without Ran Ran knowing. It is disrespectful. He has no need to do that.

It was disappointing as the story itself was rather entertaining. I dropped the Sleepless Princess ... like you said, not so many good Chinese drama lately. I liked the trailer of this one and male lead was good in The Heiress as SML so I am checking the first feedbacks see if it is worth watching...

I miss dalmi and dosan so much.. I will be rewatching there scenes.
I liked their story. The fact that he fell in love with her a first sight because she was so pretty in her blue jacket. And she liked him because he was so hansdome in his nice suit when he appeared to her at the party. Love also starts that way, from an impression of a few seconds. I liked how they navigated from this starting point to become partners in love and in business and supported and inspired each other throught adversity to finally find their happiness together.

It reminded me a quote from a French poet named Alfred de Musset who said : “I don't know where my road is going, but I know that I walk better when I hold your hand.”

Considering the course of his decisions and actions through the story I would say that the ending he has is not a proper ending but it is a very logical one. Things happen or do not happen for a reason.

If they promoted this drama with Suzy and KSH as leads and the story is what it is, I think the outrage among the KSH fans is even worse. I did not pay attention to the promotion materials and ep1 was quite confusing but at the end of the ep, it was clear for me that endgame was DoDal.
