It's just a romance drama. The drama has been good so far but I wouldn't hope for a lot of depth or character…
I know so far it is rather funny and cute romance but I will be disappointed if the 2nd third and last third of the drama just look like the 12 first eps.. There are questions that need to be adressed. Not only why Jiang Jun entered MH but what is Du Lei and Linda's relationship. Also I expect Yuan Shai to be more seriously challenged and Li Xiao Chuan to have a bigger role. Still 24 eps to go. I am sure they have things to tell.
Bai Lu and Luo Yunxi are very cute together in this drama but their interactions lack of sparkle and magic. Their dialogues sound dull at times. Them being cute together does not save the drama from its flaws: so far the second leads bring nothing to the drama, the office plots have little to do with Investment banking and are more police matters. The rival of our ML looks weak and miserable. I guess he is not the real vilain. Yuan Shuai is an endearing character. There is a good balance between his competencies, skills and achievements and his crazy reactions and moves to protect Jiang Jun. Furthermore the flash backs show how misunderstood he was and it gives more depth to his character. I hope Jiang Jun will evolve soon and become stronger and also the story around her father's death will develop. Need more characters' developement (Jiang Jun but also Xiao Chuan, Xu li, Du Lei, Linda, Qiao Na...) and more complexity.

Bai Lu and Xu Kai ended in bad terms. They unfollowed each other on social media. Of course they are professionnal actors and there will be chances they work together again but I don't think we will see it so soon. Maybe it is the best for them. They are young actors. They need to move on for their own career and work with different people to learn and make achievements. For me, it is not so good when two actors work too much together.
Wu Jin Yan is a good actress. She has a talent to portray strong charismatic women. Bai Lu is also very good at portraying strong women but she is a little bit too pretty. Personnally I believe the change of actress won't be prejudiciable to the drama.

Their plan went wrong and the little sister replaced the older sister and they married for real. But ok this drama has little consideration for the institution of marriage. First marriage planned was an assassination plan . Second marriage planned was to save the Emperor. In this drama, marriage is like going to the bathhouse.
After 3 good and fast paced episodes with a lot of fun, scheme and counter scheme, action, swordfights ... the plot is going downhill. Too many palace schemes, wordy scenes and actions which make no sense. Ep7 is the worst. Why did things turn out this way? Absolutely lazy writing just to create angst and dilemma. Gosh I wanted to see a nice and entertaining drama. Not an historical documentary about how emperors used two marry sisters to deal with palace schemes.

I also think it is his first actual relationship. She looks a little bit more experienced as she is not afraid to tell her feelings. But both of them together look like teens on their first time dating. It is cute and refreshing.
The good thing about this drama is that it makes a nice presentation of how people's temper and character influences their action to find their happiness. It specially makes our two leads very likable persons althought they have many flaws and personal problems like people in real life.
About JY, I have to say I find him a bit too calm and I wish he could grow some balls sometimes but I understand from his family life, his past years as music student, he was led and directed by people. He mostly let them say or do before he deals with it his own way trying to be good to people. Maybe he confessed quickly because he wanted her to stop being upset.
Same for SA when that girl in the classroom said in front of her something like why JY would date a girl like her to her two classmates like she was not here... If it was me she would have had a taste of my hand in her face. I enjoy how they describe her as a reserved and genuine person focused on realising herself despite the dificult path she chose.
On some occasion I think their characters are not too compatible but at least this is different from the usual cute good girl vs misunderstood bud guy. It makes me curious about how their couple will work. After a good share of angst I guess.

JY is a nice guy but his way of keeping things from SA out of concern for her mostly creates misunderstandings. She is timid but she is honest and says what she feels. I am sure he will cause her to cry soon.
JY liked SA and they were obviously flirting but I am sure he was surprised she confessed to him in a straightforward and also unexpected way right in the middle of the street. He could not just jump of joy and take her into his arms. Maybe he was not playing hard to get but he was right to cool things down. People say it is better to start a new relationship after you made sure you buried the previous one.
JK the girl he used to like was making things difficult for him and HH and as a friend he needed to fix the relationship between them. He sincerely wanted some time. This is why he was so upset SA said she "won't be with him in the end". He did not expect she would go back on her words so fast. Now he said to her he will help JK as a friend. Surely he made things clear this way with JK. He is just a friend.
