You're right, since you're now analyzing my personality through MDL comments, I seek to be self-actualized. Having a supportive partner I talk things over with before making important choices helps me BE self-actualized, which is far different from asking him to make the choices in my place. I like to walk BESIDE a partner, once in a while ahead or behind when I'm feeling stronger or weaker, but mostly beside.
Are you are saying you don't like to be in "utter" control of your choices, even though you're a strong, independent and obviously intelligent woman? Is that even possible.? Ultimately, even if the only choice you make is to rely and depend on another person to make your choices, you are "utterly" in control. But doing so is hardly a demonstration of strength and idnependence.
You've matched me comment for comment in this discussion but now tell me that I--and only I-- have "massively over-thought" the topic. lol Perhaps you have under-thought the topic? I don't know and would never have thought to suggest such a thing, but since you've gone there, why not? Can you teach me how to know when I've thought about something JUST the right amount, not more or less, so I can save brain cells in the future?
Rhetorical question. Thanks for the back-and-forth.
Now I get the point of Chanwoo being in the show. He’s the means to an end for the dirtbag manager. I really…
Agree about the roommate/neighbor. He's the one doing the right thing for SJ: simply being there if he needs anything, and quietly checking on him, rather than stalking him and demanding to know his movements and whereabouts.
Another Strongberry win! Kim Jae Heung should have become a major star long ago. I watched him in "Going South" for the fourth time last night, and he is stellar. After seeing this, I think there's nothing this man can't do. Love his long, lean body too. The couple here are totally convincing in their affection/love for each other, not one false note. That sort of thing usually looks fake or forced but not from Strongberry. Excellent, highly recommended. 8.5

You make a good point about emotional intelligence, but do you really think he uses it this way on everyone? It's just my feeling on the matter; his approach would not work on me because it's controlling and patronizing. Now some people like to be controlled and patronized, like bottoms is BL stories. Thus, as I said above, Sunglasses is eating it up. But to me his desire to be cared for, protected, controlled and patronized is a symptom of his insecurity and depression,
A relationship that begins with one person "treating" the object of their affection's mental illness by showering them with time and attention, always hovering, isn't going to last long. Or it WILL last long but be really twisted. Actually, it would be interesting to see this relationship become twisted and codependent af.
How long before "I always wonder where you are and what you're doing" become "Where the hell have you been and what were you doing?!" And who's going to be keeping tabs on the piano player when he's out of Sunglass's sight?
As I also said, I find the piano player cute and somewhat appealing but from the first episode, when he knocked that shot glass or beer out of Sunglass's hand, I was like "who the fuck do you think you are?" He didn't even know the guy and he's controlling him. Let him drink, get sick and puke if that's what he wants. Maybe he'll learn.

Yeah, well, I rebel against people who tell me to do stuff, especially people I haven't known very long. But he's cute so I'd give it time to play out and see if he's a presumptuous patronizer ALL the time. Maybe it's a gay man vs. straight woman's take on the matter. Not that I speak for all gay men...

"Vadge requirement..." lol How can you determine his vadge-worthiness while he has a swimsuit on? 😂😂😂
I find myself liking Jae Hyun but IN SPITE OF what I find to be presumptuous and infantilizing behavior that would totally turn me off. I mean, who is this guy to diagnose Sunglasses and then start taking his phone away, taking him to the beach without asking, etc.? I don't know, the way he acts smells like know-it-all, bossy behavior to me. But, as the show's designated, weak bottom, Sunglasses is eating it up of course.
The direct approach about his feelings toward Sunglasses was nice though. I especially liked "I can't control myself anymore." Things like "can I kiss you?" usually sound like PC-approved language to me, offered as insulation against accusations of sexual assault, but somehow Jae Hyun made it a bit sexy.
Jae Hyun is more than a little presumptuous and bossy, but I guess Seung Jun, as the featured bottom, likes that sort of thing. I find him charming too but I wouldn't let him confiscate my phone. lol Nothing especially, egregiously lame about this show but nothing especially great either. The reasoning behind releasing two 15-minute episodes separately per week instead of one 30-minute episode, continues to elude me but whatever.
This is as close to giving a 10/10 rating as I get. I generally think nothing on Earth is perfect so there are no 10s. But this short is nothing short of epic. The MDL rating is the opposite of where it should be. 6,6./10? Seriously? This is a very strange site. I'm thinking the New Prude fangirlies saw intense, raw, transgressive human behavior, screamed "TOXIC" and down-rated it by the hundreds. How I wish there was an adult version of MDL somewhere.
I have watched this flick at least four times and it hits me differently with each viewing. I think more highly of it each time. It is nearly flawless. Astounding acting, especially from KJH as Gi Tae. How did he not become a huge star after this performance? I don't get it.
I can't wait to let some time pass so I can come back and watch this again. It's getting my first ever 10/10 to offset the ridiculous number above just a tiny bit.
I mostly agree. It's been ten years since the brother thing and he's been in therapy most of that time, yet he…
ITSAY and IPYTM are #'s 1 and 2 on my all-time fave list. But those two are complete outliers, in no way comparable to most of what comes out of Thailand now. There are a few early Thai shows like Love Sick, Together With Me 2, TharnType, and Make It Right on that list too. It's the last two years or so that have seen the swift decline in quality as the Thai BL industry realized it had a money-making phenom on its hands and started churning out fluffy, paper-thin dreck at the rate of two a week.
Nah, I've had it with this series. I thought the editing alone is dumb, turns out the story is also dumb asf.…
I mostly agree. It's been ten years since the brother thing and he's been in therapy most of that time, yet he doesn't seem to have become healthier, just meaner. I thought this series was going to rock after eps. 1 and 2, but somewhere around 4 it lost its way. Felt like different writers took over after 3. I don't even hate JW because I don't care about any of the characters enough to work up that much emotion. :)
Maybe writers from Thailand took over after episode 3.
Commenters worried about "bestiality" and finding episode 2 "disturbing" got me curious, so I tried watching it. Anybody who finds that silly mess "disturbing" is looking for things to be disturbed by. It's lame and poorly acted, not disturbing. I only wish so, then it might be interesting.
Something like that should be left to the Koreans at Strongberry. They could no doubt pull this off.. Oh, they did: Choco Milk Shake.
